Mechanical and E&TC faculty is very good, with 50% senior professors. Students complain that Computers and Information Technology departments do not boast of very good faculty though.

Just like the other Sinhgad institutes, Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science has a huge campus, with a good overall infrastructure and an excellent library. The campus is shared with management & medical colleges under the same trust. There is internet provision in labs.
There are provisions for hostels in the campus itself. They are well maintained and students rarely complain about them. Charges for hostels are approximately 81,000 for first year and 46,000 for remaining years.

Although the college started in 2008 and is relatively in its nascent stages currently, being part of the Sinhgad group offered wonderful opportunities to those willing to take up jobs after graduation. Numerous students got placed into reputed companies although the number wasn't too high as it's only the first year of placements for Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science, Narhe.

As if Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science's godforsaken location somewhere in far south-west Pune wasn't enough; the approach road which passes through tiny little village areas is in a complete mess with craters or boulders coming your way all the time. This makes the college absolutely inaccessible and private vehicles a must. Staying in the hostel is recommended, as regular commuting is impractical, and almost impossible. But the place is evolving, say some.

The mess food is 'unacceptable', but they serve good food in the canteen, which is pretty new, so the infra is nice and spacious. "Sinhgad, Narhe has got one of the finest canteens amongst engineering colleges in Pune" says a student with utmost pride.

Good, mixed crowd. Students are interested in both studies and extracurriculars. However, such a remote location is deterrent to draw in a lot of city crowd.

Sinhgad Institute of Technology & Science, Narhe is relatively chilled out about attendance. Up to 60% is OK, otherwise parents are informed and a Rs. 1000/- fine is levied.
