Admission Process for College of Engineering (Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University), Pune
NOTE: Admission to Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Engineering, Pune is conducted through a separate entrance test which is also called 'CET'.
Well, the admission procedure to BVDU College of Engineering is pretty straight forward and unless you make a very foolish blunder you cannot really miss out on getting in (if you have a competitive score). Here's how it goes:
Admission Process:
1. The first step towards gaining admission at this prestigious institute is to appear for Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP)'s CET as admissions are based on the scores & ranks of this separate entrance test unlike most other engineering colleges in Mumbai & Pune which conduct admissions through MH CET scores.
2. A week or two after the BVP's CET, results will be declared and College of Engineering (BVDU), Pune will come up with its Merit List - a list of students who appeared for BVP's CET in descending order of their scores - which will be put up on the notice board at the college, its website (www.bvucoepune.edu.in) and a couple of other places. If you've done well in your CET and your name features amongst the first 3000 candidates list, you'll receive a counselling and on the spot selection invitation letter.
3. Once you've got the letter you have to go attend the counselling session conducted at the Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering campus in Katraj, Pune. The letter mentioned above will contain details of when you're required to report at the college along with your documents (original & two sets of photocopies) and the fee demand draft. This, however, doesn't yet guarantee admission and only means that you've been shortlisted successfully.
4. At the counselling venue, the candidates will be called in the order of their ranking in the merit list and choose admission to the course in which seats are available when their turn for counselling comes. So be ready to choose your branch before your turn comes.
5. Once you're given provisional admission, you just need to submit your original documents, pay up the stipulated fees and report to the college as instructed.
NOTE:
- If you fail to receive the invitation letter due to any reason, you can still & must attend the counselling session and carry with you an alternative proof of having had appeared for he BVP CET.
- You need to be physically present at the time and place notified in the invitation letter or send a representative on your behalf with an authority letter only if you're very sick.
- Those who wish to reside in the college hostel will also have to pay up the hostel fees at the time of the counselling itself.
List of documents required while reporting for counselling:
At the time of counselling, you are required to submit the following documents in original. Failure to do so will result in instantaneous cancellation of your claim for admission. You are also required to submit two photocopies of each of these documents:
