Admission Process for DJ Sanghvi College of Engineering


Note: DJ Sanghvi College will be participating in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra state as per the ordiance issued by Maharashtra State. 29% of the seats in respective to the branches will be filled by DTE as the part of the CAP.

  • CAP Seats to be filled by DTE, Maharashtra. Refer to DTE admission process.
  • Eligibility criteria given by DTE Maharashtra State to be followed by the institute.
  • Seperate Application will have to be made for Gujurati Community (Minority) and Institute Level Forms. 

 

The following is the procedure of 2014 admission:

1.Log on to the DJ Sanghvi website, http://www.djsce.ac.in to enquire about the dates when the forms will be available. An announcement would also be made in a national English daily newspaper. It usually begins around the second or third week of June

2.The admission form will be available to download on the website. The forms for Gujarati linguistic minority and the General category both have been clubbed into the online digital form. The processing charges per application is Rs 1500/- which can be paid online, or by a demand draft.

3.Wait for the schedule for document verification for the students belonging to the Gujarati Linguistic minority, and get it acknowledged by the college authorities.

After the form has been filled, and the payment done, you must print the form. You will be allowed to fill the forms for a period of 12 days, so no need to rush in on the first day.

NOTE: No documents will be required at the time of filling the form.

4. After the forms have been submitted, a provisional merit list, wherein the details of each candidate are specified, will be displayed on the college website. If there are any discrepancies in the list, contact the concerned authority of the college within the stipulated period.

5. The final merit list will then be displayed on the site along with the date, time and location of the first admission round.

At the venue where the admission rounds are conducted, there will be live screening of the whole process, giving you an idea how many seats have been taken in all the streams and how many seats are left.  Each candidate will be called upon based on his merit number and asked to select his desired stream.

The candidates will be required to submit the following documents at this juncture :

  • Leaving Certificate
  • 12th Marksheet
  • CET Marksheet
  • 10th Marksheet
  • Nationality certificate (if nationality is not mentioned on your Leaving Certificate)

In addition to this, you need the following documents if you are applying for the Gujarati minority quota :

  • Domicile Certificate (Yes, it becomes compulsory if you apply for the minority quota)
  • Affidavit stating that you belong to Gujarati speaking Linguistic Minority in the state of Maharashtra.
  • Letter stating that you belong to the Gujarati speaking linguistic minority in the state of Maharashtra from a registered Gujarati Trust/Samaj.

And most importantly, a demand draft/pay order of the stipulated amount. Please do not forget to carry this, you will not be allowed to take admission without it.

FAQs:

  • I have secured admission in XYZ college and submitted my documents there. Is it possible for me to apply to DJ Sanghvi College Of Engineering now?

When you submit your documents make sure you ask for a retention certificate if you wish to take admission in DJ Sanghvi. You will be able take admission in the college if you show this certificate at the time of DJ’s admission round and are able to produce your documents within the next four days.

 

  • Can I fill in both the minority and the open category forms simultaneously?

Yes, it is absolutely possible for you to fill in both the forms simultaneously if you belong to the Gujarati speaking linguistic minority. This has now been integrated into the digital form.
