Close to 2 lakh students who took the CAT in 2012 eagerly and desperately waited for 9th Jan to know whether they've made it to their dream B-school; and much to their surprise, the results (announced earlier today) showed a fantastic outcome for many engineers, especially the ones from the prestigious IITs.

Ten students have hit the bulls eye by scoring 100 percentile in the CAT exam which is conducted for admissions to many B-schools across the country including the royal Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). One of them is a science student from Delhi while the remaining are from the engineering background. 8 students of these cent percentilers are from the IITs.

For the first time in the history of the CAT, four girls have scored 99.99 percentile which marks to be the highest score ever in this entrance exam by a female candidate. In a nutshell, 1640 boys and 225 girls scored over 99 percentile.

Have a look at the city wise performance of students who have secured 99 percentile and above

  • 180 in Mumbai
