Preparation:

I joined a coaching class a year and half prior to the CAT but then started seriously preparing just 5-6 months prior, which was during my engineering vacations. Earlier also I was regular in attending class and doing the homework, but then for the last six months I put in 5 hours daily. I would study from the material provided by the coaching class, which is more than enough. I also joined an all-India test series to get an approximate idea of where i stood. I knew my strengths and weaknesses and paid a lot of attention on working on my weakness. When I started preparation I devoted equal amount of time to all the sections but then as the exam day neared I worked more upon my weakness. I would solve many papers when exams were round the corner.

Advice to juniors:

I would like to say MBA or any competitive exam is not about testing your knowledge only it is more a test of your personality. So being regular in your classes and doing homework and strategic planning of your studies with special attention to the weaker sections would build up your confidence. Attempt as many past papers as you can as you approach the entrances and spot the errors that you normally make and try working on them. And last I would just like to say that it's not as tough as you perceive, so be calm and composed but at the same time be consistent in your efforts and I am sure you will do well.

Experience in MBA Institute:

The campus is absolutely fantastic. The hostel and mess facilities are exceptional,no doubts about it. It's like a home away from home. The crowd is extremely varied with a nice blend of freshers and work experienced people which is the essence of a B-School and the campus life is happening out here.
