Preparation:

I started my preparation during college days. However, I joined Cognizant after Graduation and then I took CAT/XAT once again. Work pressure was a big deterrent. But I managed time at night to study because I was really passionate about MBA. I regularly studied for 2-3 hours and appeared for the mock tests on the weekends.

Advice to juniors:

If you want to do an MBA from a good B-school then be passionate about it. There should be that fire coming from inside you as getting in a good B-school is not a cakewalk, so think of the future and work hard!!

Experience in MBA Institute:

Faculty is extremely helpful,co-operative and approachable. My journey at SPJIMR has so far been a mix of assignments, quizzes, end-terms, competitions, committee work and the hot and happening PG LAB! After all life at SPJIMR can’t be a drab one! Right from day one, it has been an exciting experience for me and I can vouch that for every one of us here in PGP-1.The diverse mix of students at SPJIMR makes it what it is. Each one is talented in their own way and SPJIMR promotes each one them through its very own LAASYA (dancers), GASP (Guild of Actors at SP), Sprint (Athletes), Canvas (Painters), OJAS (aspiring entrepreneurs) to name a few initiatives. And that’s not all, we are not just “work hard and party harder” fellas, if you thought so. We are very much part of our very own “Abhyudaya” – a wonderful initiative by the college which provides an opportunity to the students to contribute to the society by mentoring a talented yet under-privileged child. And when it comes to business we are no way lagging behind, the aspiring managers are given a chance to develop their administration and managerial skills through ADMAP committees.Competition is deep rooted in the spirits of the Spinners, but that never stops us from enjoying our lives and pursuing our dreams. The course structure is well defined and provides an individual all round management education. We at SPJIMR are proud to be associated with one of the best B-schools in the country. It genuinely takes a lot of hard work, determination and great ability to survive under pressure to earn a seat at SPJIMR. We are proud to have earned it. I am sure there are several IIMs who can boast of being ahead of us but I am 100% sure that it can never boast of having created individuals who besides having the best brains are sensitive towards the society at large and capable of pursuing their own dreams no matter how crazy it is and how diverse it is.
