Preparation:

For CAT 2010, like most others in my class, I joined classes almost a year and a half before the exam. However, I must admit, I did not study much for the most part of it except attending the lectures. I mainly started studies a month before my test since I felt that for me it would be the optimum time. For those last 20 days before the test, I made sure to solve a test every second day and analysed it thoroughly. I made sure all my concepts for quant were clear and I made myself familiar with a lot of different type of DI sets. My verbal preparation was sort of done since I had taken GRE before in the same year and the flashcards helped a bit in my CAT as well.

Material:

I had joined CPLC classes, so I mainly used their material only for concepts and problems. However, for tests, in addition to TestFunda test series given to us, I used the tests given by TIME, IMS, Career Launcher. I found taking a lot of tests very useful.

Advice to juniors:

I think one should introspect and think about their own strengths and weaknesses since it is different from person to person. I used to analyse my strengths and weaknesses after every Mock CAT and would try to make sure I improve in the next.

Experience in MBA Institute:

Faculty:
The faculty at IIM Calcutta is amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The amount of respect each teacher deserves here cannot be put down to words. You have to be here to understand the hard work they put in and the amount of knowledge they have. .

Campus Life:
At IIM Calcutta, the campus is very beautiful. The infrastructure for the academic buildings are perfect. The hostels are good enough. Campus life is awesome out here. There is so much more than academics here. There are a ton of fun activities to do and it is a must have experience.
