RUBIX'14 is the annual technical festival of the Computer Society of India(CSI) of Thadomal Shahani Engineering College(TSEC). It will be a two day event teemed with exhilaration, admiration, challenges and innovations which entices up-and-coming engineers of Mumbai.It will be an opportunity for young guns enveloping the wide diversities in the field of engineering - a pedestal to present ideas and a stage to showoff designs.

This time CSI-TSEC is back with a bigger and a better version of events that ranges from brain bending quizzes, puzzles, fun events and workshops to broaden the horizons of the young minds. The events are so designed to exercise their minds, and to further the sprit of technology.

The fest will have a plethora of technical and non-technical events ranging from robotics, coding, photography, gaming and a number of other fun and adrenaline-gushing events. Apart from these events, RUBIX'14 will also be host to many workshops and trainings that shall bring the students face to face with the leading and emerging technologies of the world, which is set to be a very enlightening experience for the budding creative minds. 

 

The various exciting events of RUBIX'14 are as follows:

 

ETHICAL HACKING : 11th February 2014

An informative seminar conducted by the most famous ethical hacker in India - Mr.ANKIT FADIA. The seminar will give the students an insight into the aspects of Ethical hacking as Ankit Fadia unleashes the magic of hacking in front of them! 

 

HTML5: 19th February 2014

Discover the design principles of the latest version of Web's Lingua Franca.Focussing on the usage of HTML 5 today, this workshop will benefit the students who would want to stay up-to-date with this latest standards.

 

Light painting: 18th February 2014

An interesting worshop on the various aspects of digital photography.

 

ROBOTICS LEVEL 3: 19th February 2014

 A workshop where the students will learn to build their very own level 3 robot!

 

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) :19th February 2014

It is a Workshop specially designed for Students who are interested in pursuing careers in Networking, Security and VOIP.The Workshop Offers Fundamental Knowledge on Networking.

Team Event of TWO individuals.One of the Participants Codes the given program blindfolded [Monitor will be switched off] and then The Teammate will be required to rectify errors if any.The Combined efforts of Both will be Required to get through this Competition.

 

 DEBUGGER: 19th February 2014 

The debugging skill of the programmer can be a major factor in the ability to debug a problem and here we are testing their skills in debugging the provided problem.

 

technical paper presentation: 19th february

In this competition the participants will be given a predefined topic on which the technical paper should be prepared. They will be then assessed upon the skills and the winners will be Rewarded.

 

occult coding: 19th february

the students will learn a new Programming Language On the Spot and will code using that language.
