Admissions to Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) will be based on SET, JEE Main and MT CET tests with majority of the seats under SET. SIT offers admissions in engineering under the following disciplines: 

1. Civil Engineering (60)
2. Computer Science (60)
3. Electronics and Telecommunication (120)
4. Information Technology (30)
5. Mechanical Engineering (120)

The B.Tech Entrance Exam for Symbiosis College - Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) - for its Pune and Noida campus for the academic year 2013-14 is scheduled on May 4th, 2013.

Admissions to various engineering programmes of Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune, will be held on merit basis of the SET. The two and a half hour test (9.30 am. to 12 noon) will comprise three sections viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. While Mathematics will have 50 Questions contributing to a total of 100 marks, Physics and Chemistry will have 25 Questions each contributing to a total of 50 marks each.

Eligibility for the test

• The HSC or any other equivalent exam or Class XII exam conducted by any Statutory Board must have been passed by the candidate and he/she must have secured at least 60% aggregate in the subjects of PCM as per the eligibility norms of Eligibility Criteria of Symbiosis SET 2013.
• The minimum aggregate of 55% in PCM must be obtained according to relaxed eligibility criteria for SC/ST candidates.
• The students who have obtained a valid score in the exams like JEE Main 2013, JEE Advanced 2013 and MHTCET 2013 will also be eligible under Eligibility Criteria of Symbiosis SET 2013.
