Spectra (Winds of Change) - Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Andheri, Mumbai

Spectra-"Winds of change" is the annual technical festival of Sardar Patel College of Engineering. Currently in its maiden year, Spectra is the brain child of the student committees of three prominent departments of the college-namely, civil, mechanical and electrical. This technical extravaganza is scheduled to roll out at the end of March, i.e., 20,21,22 of the month! Being the techies that the engineers are known to be, this festival has events that highlights the core knowledge of the participant like TPP, Project Exhibition, IC-RC car racing, Debates, and much more.
Also this festival aims to create awareness by the use of engineering solutions to quite many social problems. With smaash as our entertaining partner, it's made sure the non tech crowd also has its participation evident. Come along to SPCE, Andheri (W) on 20, 21 and 22 March to be a part of this grand spectacle!

1. IC car racing: Make a car with IC engine installed..and race it with others opening as much as throttle you can... Accelerate on a different terrain in SPECTRA...!
2. Bridge It : design a bridge using the given dimensions and popsicle sticks.
3. Tech debate: the name says it all, doesn't it? A debate with topics that suit the techies in you..
4. Junkyard wars: design an innovative instrument using the policy of 'best of waste'
5. Monster arena: dare to reach the finish line 1st without hurting your bot in time.
6. Circuit making competition: lets enlighten the circuit savvy in you and design the given circuit in lowest possible time.
7.  Tech quiz : challenge the tech genius in you with this technical brain teasers!
8.  Science fiction : is the universal really endless? Is an atom the smallest particle? Or is there something more than what meets the eye?
9.  Con trive: awak en the architect in you to plan a structure and realise it by applying the laws of civil engineering..
10. Hydraulic excavator: design an excavator using the laws of fluid mechanics and hydraulic machinery
11. Worriers of change: think you can relate to the social issues of the aam junta? Participate to enlighten and discuss solutions for their miseries..
12. CAD challenge: event tests your basic and advanced knowledge of softwares. Rounds related to cad and catia will be held during the event
13. Concrete expert: make concrete cubes or the standard size using a mix design..
14. Robowars: a war of the robots! Participate to prove your mettle for robot making!!
15. Build it high: stability is basic need for any structure. Event tests your foundation and structural knowledge.
16. Line follower: make your robot follow the path traced out..beware: its Mumbai, the roads won't be without potholes!!
17. Make an art: aptly said, "a picture speaks a thousand words"..make an image and express better!!
18. UN mock summit: delegates from various states are invited to discuss relevant social issues affecting the globe!!
