Modern equipments in labs, neat classrooms, Wi-Fi, a well-stocked library and a spacious reading room leave little scope for criticism of academic facilities. However, a bigger campus with a more pleasing environment and better sporting arrangements could have made it flawless.

There were about 50 offers to the first batch that passed in 2011. Placements are on for the second batch but there hasn't been a drastic improvement in the numbers. A little over 10% of the students manage to get jobs on campus. Companies recruiting include HCL, Genpact and a few other mid-sized local companies.

After over an hour's travelling (from Central Hyderabad/Secunderabad) towards the famous Chilkur Balaji Temple, a huge hoarding to the left shows the first signs of Geetanjali Institute of Science & Technology (GIST)'s existence and further directions to reach it. And you're relieved that you've finally made it - just a couple of kilometres more! But, then you realise that the actual distance each of these signboards indicate is at least 80% more. When you finally reach the college, you'll know one thing for sure - for the next four years, travelling will be a tough task!

Geetanjali Institute of Science & Technology (GIST) is very particular about attendance and defaulters have to shell out fines to the tune of Rs. 3000. Those with below 60% are detained.
College timing is 9:20 am to 3:40 pm and a closed gate system means there's no way you can enter or leave the campus during this time.
