The grand entrance to the college welcomes you to one of the finest adorned colleges in terms of infrastructure. It looks like a princely palace with a broad passageway and open gardens around it. The insides are equally good with well equipped labs, library and auditorim. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Sporting facilities for cricket, football, basketball and volleyball are available. No qualms there.

Placements have been improving every year at GAT. College tries to bring as many as 30+ companies including IGATE, HP, IBM, INFOSYS, TATA ELXSI, NTTDATA, TOYOTA, L&T, BOSCH, and BMRCL etc. Apart from this, students also go for pooled campus drives and off-campus enrolment. The college conducts training sessions to hone students for the entire placements process. Classes for aptitude tests, group discussions and personality developement are conducted before actual placements start.

Global Academy of Technology (GAT) is located in in Rajarajeshwarinagar area of South Western Bangalore. Being far from city, most students use the college bus to travel. The buses ply to and from the prominent parts inside the Bangalore city and its sub-urban areas. BMTC buses from major parts of the city are also available.

The hostel campus is about 1km from the college and is pretty decent. It has got free Wi-Fi too. A new hostel is also being built on the campus.

There's a mall called Gopalan Arcade abput 3 km from college where students catch up latest movies or go bowling. An amusement park called "Wonderla" is also visited by students once in a while.

To enter this college, you don't need an ambitious score in your entrance exams and thus most seats are taken by average rankers from CET & UGET. Although they may be not be great academically, they excel in sports as well as other cultural activities. Students from North-Indian states are said to form atleast 50% of the total crowd. It's a diverse yet friendly campus for freshers.

Compared to other engineering colleges in VTU, attendance norms at Global Academy of Technology are a bit more relaxed. Although you need to have 75% attendance as per VTU norms, you might be able to get away with up to 60%. Below that fines may be levied.
