Professors are co-operative and teach really well. For the third and final years, senior and experienced lecturers handle most of the subjects. EEE is said to have the best faculty at G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) while others follow up close.

The entrance to the G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) campus leads to an endless road that takes you round the massive the premises. Infrastructure is impressive with equal preference to academics, sports and greenery. The library has abundant books and Wi-Fi is accessible from most parts of the campus.

G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) records over 80-90% placements every year. Major recruiters have almost every year been Infosys and Accenture with a little assistance from Deloitte and TCS. Salaries range between Rs. 2.8L to Rs. 5L per year with Deloitte offering the latter. While ECE, CSE and IT graduates bag multiple job offers at times, EEE, ETM and ICE are not so fortunate and have to settle with one or sometimes even none.

Located about 10 kilometres from Koti in Central Hyderabad, G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science, popularly known as GNITS, is easy to reach no matter which part of the city you come from. As it's official website suggests, GNITS is spotted on the right side of the road from Mehdipatnam towards Gachibowli Stadium at about 3 kms from Mehdipatnam. Despite the reasonably good RTC bus services by 216, 217... most students here prefer the College Buses.

Hostels are not worth appreciation but things are manageable. Rooms are spacious; but sharing them with 3 other roommates cramps them up. Strict rules and no non-vegetarian food become an issue for some of the girls here. Charges for the hostel rooms are Rs. 70,000 for air-conditioned rooms and Rs. 40,000 for regular rooms.

As the college is located within Hyderabad's city limits, numerous options are available. On one side there's Mehdipatnam, while on the other side there's Gachibowli both offering unique places to chill around with friends.

Being a girls college, sincerity is at its peak resulting in relatively higher pass percentage. However, the drawback is that you'll find a loads of batch-mates who're shy and reserved or even orthodox.

There's a lot of encouragement for sports at GNITS. An annual sports festival is organized at the college and students across various women engineering colleges in Hyderabad are invited to participate.

G. Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science (GNITS) follows the prescribed University norms of mandatory 75% attendance or up to 65% attendance if there are medical reasons.
Gates are closed once lectures begin in the morning and no one is allowed to enter or leave the campus without necessary permissions. There's no dress code and the girls are free to wear casual clothes (yet few make use of this freedom).

GNITS is a great college, and could mean much more exposure and opportunity for girls to participate and excel in a lot of extracurricular activities as there is no competition from the boys. Placements are superb and autonomy is an added advantage.
