Infrastructure is good. Nice campus, spacious buildings with all the facilities like comfortable seating arrangements in the classrooms, labs, seminar halls with projectors, well-stocked library, all are well maintained. There is wi-fi connectivity all over the campus. Moreover the surroundings are blessed with scenic beauty and greenery.
Hostel facilities are there. Hostel infra is also pretty decent. The only complaint that the students have is that the facilities they get, are good, bu are not proportional to the fees they pay.

Placements are average but are expected to improve as placements are made common with the Wakad campus. One plus point about placements at Indira college of Engineering is that they bring in more number of companies who don't have any criteria for minimum marks. This enables students with lower aggregates to get placed on-campus.

Indira College of Engineering & Management (ICEM) is located at Parandwadi about 30 km from city of Pune. It is very far from any kind of urban civilization and surrounded mostly by rural settings. However it is not far from the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. There are several options for commuting, of which one is by the PMT buses. The bus stop – Somatane Phata is 6 km away and bus frequency is also horrible. Only a few students travel by PMT buses. Second option is to travel by local train to Begdewadi railway station, which is 10 km away, and then take Omnis or six-sitters from there. Local trains are too crowded and their frequency is also no better. College also provides bus facility but that is too expensive. The most preferred option would be to travel by your own vehicles. Overall accessibility is very poor and travelling is a big turnoff.

There’s no specific hangout place which is popular but students generally roam in the surrounding areas which look lovely during winter and the monsoons. Famous weekend destinations like Lonavala & Pawana Dam are also not too far from college.

An intra-college festival is held during January. Students participate in large numbers and enjoy the fest to the hilt. An inter-college festival is also being planned from coming year.
Apart from that many technical seminars are held at the college, but students find them very educational and boring at the same time.

Attendance was not a big issue in the past and one could have easily got away with 50%. But recently they’ve made it strict and rumours have it that it’ll be even stricter in coming months. Actions against defaulters include extra assignments, fines and parents need to be called to meet principal. Although no one was stopped to appear in exams but harsh warnings were given, which has certainly alarmed students.

Indira College of Engineering & Management (ICEM) is an average college. Students studying here rate it 5 on a scale of 10. Infrastructure, faculty and crowd are favourable factors. But location and fees are the areas where college takes a hitting. Also canteen and placements need to improve. However the good part is that the management is open to direct discussion with students.
