The faculty consists of well experienced and good lecturers. The college has a mix of senior and junior professors, besides that, all are approachable and co-operative. The teaching is excellent with most classes being conducted in English and students are keen on learning and bunking is rarely observed.

The library is a 3 - storey block, providing to the needs of the academic needs of the students and other literature books are also available. The library is also where students generally prefer to read in solace. Students can access internet over Wi-Fi without much restrcitions. The college also provides a common room, a gym, which has the latest equipment, a student union office, NSS, NCC and sports rooms. Besides all these, there are bamboo rooms on the ground floor. The basketball court is superb, while the ground for sports and other activities is even better. 'Chaupaal' is the amphi-theatre where drama societies of the college and other colleges get their space to perform. Kamala Nehru College is located in a posh area of South Delhi, in the vcinity of the Sirifort Auditorium and Sports Complex. It is adjacent to Gargi College. The nearest metro station is Green Park on the Yellow line, and is merely a 10 minute walk from the college, besides auto rickshaws charge Rs. 10 only. The college has a bus stop named after it, so the frequency of buses are amazing. Most of the students use public transport while many get their own vehicles. Finding a PG is also very easy here.

The canteen has lots to choose along with being hygienic, and pocket friendly, and that's exactly how a canteen should be. The canteen has large indoor seating with a football table and a chatty atmosphere and an even larger outdoor seating. The canteen offers Chaat, Tikki, Samosa and meals like Rajma-Rice while Thali being the hot favourite, Manchurian, Momos, Rolls, CHilly Paneer, Chilly Potato, French Fries, South Indian dishes and a lot more. A Juice stall offers fresh fruit juices, while there's a Coke Station and a Nescafe point too. The canteen attracts students of other colleges too. This canteen has everything that a student would wish for.

Being at a prime location in South Delhi, there are many happening places for hang outs. The most common being Mithaas, just a minute away, besides, the very popular Hauz Khas Village for its happening cafes, boutiques and the fort-lake for photography and chilling out. Malls in Saket are 15 minutes away and Greater Kailash is a 5 minute ride in an auto rickshaw. Ansal Plaza in South-Ex once used to be the most happening place to be at and now only a McDonalds to offer, while it's very close to the college. Def-Col and Lajpat Nagar are also not far, ad takes about 15 minutes in a rickshaw. So many options around that you'll never run out of in 3 years.

The backgrounds of students here is diverse and most students are what you can call 'lively'. Students belong to different backgrounds, with many coming from far-flung states of the North East India and Himachal Pradesh. Students mix very well and are friendly. Ragging is hardly evident and most students are a part of active societies like Adagio (Choreo), Lakshya (Drama), Glitz (Fashion), Enigma and Nupur (Indian and Western Dance), Sangeetika and Zephyr (Indian and Western music) with Photography, Book reading, Film society and other unconventional ones like Equal Opportunity Cell, Women Development Cell and Sexual Harassment Cell among others. The societies here are very popular in the DU circuit. A popularly funny observation is that there are more societies than the courses offered. The college has its own Cricket, Football and Basketball teams.

Being regular and punctual is something that should be kept in mind. Minimum attendance is 67% failing with which parents will be summoned and a bond agreement will be asked to sign. As all students of Delhi University who score 85% attendance are awarded marks, students rarely bunk classes.
