Faculty is also in dire conditions as there are no students to be taught. Most of the teachers are just BTech graduates and hired on temporary basis.

Malhotra Technical Research Institute has 5 blocks of buildings which house the teaching blocks and workshops etc. The campus is not at all worth boasting about. There is no ground to play and even the general landscape is really messy. Classrooms are unclean and look like they are not used regularly. Labs are worse than the classrooms with all of them inadequate and not well maintained. The workshops lack instruments and equipment. A small library with a few thousand books is present and used sometimes by the students.

Placements are non-existent in Malhotra Technical Research Institute and just like all other factors of the college, isn’t noteworthy. Companies do not come to the college for placements. Only a few students manage to get placed through off campus placements.

Malhotra Technical Research Institute was established in 2009 and is located in Amrawad Khurd, along the Awadhpuri Road in Bhopal. Reaching the college is quite a task with no proper roads directly leading to the college. The college does not have its own bus services but it is heard to be starting soon. A few rented busses are used for transporting students from common spots. Most students use their personal vehicles to college, if they come to college.

The college does not have a hostel of its own in the campus or in the city. Students are assisted with rented hostel spaces in the city and sometimes not even that is done. Not difficult to guess, the college does not have WiFi facility for the students.

In the name of a canteen and small room with a couple selling a few homemade snacks and Poha for breakfast is present. The setting is similar to that of a roadside tea stall.

No wonder attendance too is not an important aspect in Malhotra Technical Research Institute. A few students attend college and many of them only come to appear for exams. This by no means is an exaggeration of the truth, most students have very less attendance and not much is done to them except for the fine imposed upon by college, which the students are happy to pay and get riddance of attendance.

Malhotra Technical Research Institute is a tier 3 college which shouldn’t be an option out of choice for any student. Some students say that there are also rumours that the college might get shut due to large number of vacant seats.
