Students complain that there is an acute shortage of faculty, good faculty is out of the question. Improper knowledge of the subject coupled with lack of communication skills have made life hell for students here. The first year is really horrible, later years however have relatively better teachers.

At a glance everything seems pretty decent, but based on what students have to say, it's horrendous. There are few working equipments in labs, old edition books in the library and lack of drinking water.

Nadgir Institute of Engineering & Technology is almost 20kms from central Bangalore, a little beyond NICE Road and off the Mumbai-Bangalore highway. 1 or 2 BMTC buses from Majestic do drop about a kilometre from the college but frequency is horrible and takes almost two hours to reach the college during peak hour traffic. It's in such a remote location that sometimes even snakes and frogs can be found wriggling and jumping in and around the campus.

Hostels are even worse; improper ventilation, unhygienic & stinking restrooms, hot water as rare as Haley's Comet and no electricity during the day (which they feel forces every hostelite to attend college).

There are just 20-25 students in the first year all branches combined and a similar ratio in the other years as well. With so few people around you have would HAVE to be friends with everyone. And with so many shortcomings at the college, you would have someone or the other to share your woes.

No faculty means most of the lectures stand cancelled, so where does the issue of attendance crop up? Students are said to have got through all fours without attending even a single lecture. That may be a bit exaggerated, but you get the point?
