The college has excellent faculty. There are different professors for different Years, and all are qualified and knowledgeable. High court judges also visit once in a while for guest lectures. The principal himself, a three time gold medallist, is highly qualified, but pretty chilled out as well. Communication in classes and even otherwise is generally in English; Hindi and Marathi are terribly uncommon.

The A+ rated Law College of BVDU has excellent infrastructure. The library is really well-equipped and well-maintained, the cyber cell and moot court have separate halls to themselves and are well made as well. There is a projector in every class and, would you believe it, they actually work. The fully-functional auditorium is a treat. You ought to be careful, though - there's full-fledged CCTV monitoring system second year onwards.

About half the students prefer giving placements a miss in favour of higher studies, but a number of law firms come to the college anyway to offer jobs. Sometimes, Supreme Court judges also visit to see the quality of students on offer.
Internships are given importance here as well, and the college helps students secure good firms for them.

New Law College (NLC), which you can find in Erandwane, has a very accessible, central location. It’s located off Paud Road on the way to Kothrud and the good PMT bus connectivity can take you to most parts of the city.

There are a number of colleges in this campus, and they all share a common canteen. From the outside, it seems pretty big, but only once you enter and see the multitudes of students inside, do you realize how tiny it is for the number of people it caters to. But the size aside, it’s pretty good. The food is normally hot, and more importantly, reasonable.

The extremely popular Durga Coffee is a very common hangout, and students will never cease to remind you that they go only to the ‘original’ Durga. Apart from that, you can always find people in the Deccan area, as well as the regular suspects like McDonalds and Dominoes, which are nearby.

The college has a massive intake of 782 students, most of which happen to belong to states other than Maharashtra. That said, they still get along with each other, and the local students, pretty well.

Although students say it's not too strict, it sounds pretty scary! If your attendance falls below 75%, your parents are called for meetings, and you stand to lose about five marks in your term work.

Definitely among the top 20 law colleges in India, and there's always the added advantage of the laidback Poona life to look forward to. Just make sure you don't go too far with your juniors - the anti-ragging cell is quite strict.
