NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology has really good faculty. No BE or BTech graduates are allowed to teach in the college as MTech is mandatory. Also, even though most of teachers are senior, they are friendly and understanding. In most situations, the teachers are helpful and cooperative. The faculty of Electronics is liked most by the students in the college.

NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology has a small 10 acre campus but the sheer number of huge buildings and the utilization of space make it appear like a much larger one. The campus has a total of 5 buildings for each of its various departments like management, pharmacy and Engineering. The laboratories in NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology are old but one of the best laboratory facilities in Bhopal, the college has lived up to its name of providing good facilities to the students. Classes too, are spacious, well ventilated and although old, make up for a good atmosphere. Students say that the library is just decent and not very good, it has decent number of books related to the syllabus. The college campus has its own sports ground which is used well by the students.

Tech Mahindra, TCS, Zansar and Indian navy are some of the top recruiters from NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology. The placements are good according to Bhopal standards with around 35% placement records by the college. Apart from the big companies, many small companies hire students for smaller packages. Most of the core companies are small time companies while CS and IT branch students are hired by the bigger companies.

It is a few steps ahead of the Oriental Campus. The college has a well developed bus service covering the entire city of Bhopal. While many students use the college bus services, many also their own vehicles to reach the college.

There are a total of 3 hostels for the students of which 2 are in campus while one is in the city. The hostels offer average food and facilities but are much better than the facilities offered by other colleges.

Apart from a couple of stalls selling fast food, there are 2 other canteens in the campus. The canteens are small but there is a lot of variety in the things available. From soup to proper breakfast and Lunch, everything is available in the canteens. Students sit around in the periphery as there is lack of seating space. But overall, students love the canteens.

A lot of students are from neighbouring states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh while many are from Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh itself.

NRI Institute of Information Science & Technology is strict about the attendance and less than 60% is not safe in the college. The college not only imposes fines but also summons parents of those defaulting. Students having really poor attendance are harassed with extra assignments but no student is detained.
