Considered as one of the high ranking colleges in the city, Sathaye has top notch faculties. Almost all the teachers have got their post graduate degrees from good, renowned colleges within and outside the country. Faculty for English, export-import, CRM and PQM subjects are pretty good. Students feel the visiting faculty is still better than the permanent ones. Communication is in English and Marathi.

“Despite being a huge name in the education sector, the college's infrastructure is pretty pathetic”, says one of the Sathaye-ites. The college has a namesake garden at the entrance but nothing much to talk about. Classrooms are without an air conditioner. Fortunately, the wooden benches are not broken. Washrooms are quite dirty and students demand cleanliness and hygiene. Library is loaded with dozens of books of all the courses. High speed wifi internet is available only for the IT students.
Overall the infrastructure is not at all impressive and needs a complete makeover.

Sathaye College is located in Vile Parle East and is a 10 minute walk from Vile Parle railway station. Most of the students coming to the college are from the western suburbs; hence you’ll find a lot of them using train as the mode of commutation. The college is a few minutes away from the BEST bus stop where the bus frequency is pretty good. Frequency of the buses running on the Western Express Highway is superb and thus connectivity to the college is commendable.

Being located on the eastern side, the college doesn’t have any happening hangouts. Coffee lovers can pass their time at CCD while ice cream lovers are seen at Naturals. There are loads of roadside food joints in Vile Parle east which is the ultimate hangout for any foodie. Anna’s franky just across the road is a hot favourite place for all the Sathyae-ites. Prabha, the smoking joint, is the most visited places by the boys of this college. Last but not the least, is Juhu Beach! Do we need to say more?

Boys to girls ratio is almost equal. Sathaye College, fondly called as Parle College, has a very nerdy crowd and most of the students are aware of it. You can expect toppers of all the respective schools to be seen under one roof, Sathaye! Science students are the nerdiest chaps in the college. The college lacks charming and beautiful faces; even the commerce department isn’t able to do so. Students participate in huge numbers during the college festival. Overall , the students are quite friendly and share an excellent bond with their peers.

Well, the attendance pattern at Sathaye college is very strict. Students have to maintain 75% compulsorily failing which internal marks are reduced. In some cases, students are not allowed to attend Industrial Visits. In worst cases, students are detained. It’s good to maintain your attendance as high as possible to avoid any problems.
