RKDF College of Research and Technology has average faculty with extreme of both good and bad faculty. Students are least concerned because most of them opt for external coaching classes. The Head of departments are considerably better. The computer Science and Mechanical faculty has the better teachers in the college. Most of the faculty teaching in RKDF College of Engineering (Campus 1) is shared by RKDF College of Research and Technology and Bhabha Engineering College although the better ones are present in RKDF College of Engineering (Campus 1).

Just like the other big private colleges RKDF College of Research and Technology has the better of the placements in Bhopal with more than 30% students getting placed. TCS, L&T and various small time firms pick up students for an average annual package of 2.5 Lakh Per annum while highest packages go up to 3.5 Lakh Per Annum. RKDF College of engineering although affiliated to RGPV, belongs to the custodians of the RKDF University which has made the college a big name, which has helped good placements come in significantly. Apart from then hostels in campus, staff quarters are also present in the college campus. Hostel facilities are not appreciated by the students but most of them have become habituated.

RKDF College of Research and Technology has a good enough canteen which is spacious and have same variety as that of RKDF College of Engineering (Campus 1) like packed and freshly cooked food ranging from Maggie noodles to Samosa to snacks and Lunch. Even the prices are nominal and all packed food is sold at MRP but students prefer hanging out in more popular canteen of RKDF College of Engineering (Campus 1).

Crowd in RKDF College of Research and Technology much like RKDF College of Engineering (Campus 1), like all of its features is very much average. Students hail from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and few locals of Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. A recent controversy regarding bad behaviour by a professor towards a female student had brought bad name to the college causing a lot of female students not preferring the college. The number of girls in the other faculties of Dental and Pharmacy though have enough girls which makes the campus even. Also the college has a more enthusiastic and lively crowd due to diverse courses and number of other students of dental, pharmacy and management in the college.

No such festivals are conducted in RKDF College of Research and Technology apart from the RKDF Sports league which is very famous in Bhopal and organized once in a year, attracting large number of students from the city and outskirts.
