Teachers here aren’t very impressive. Most of the teachers are inexperienced and for some of them this is their 1st job right after their graduation. Many of the students are in fact happy with their faculty as they are not very strict. Some of the teachers can pester you but overall it’s manageable.

Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering Technology shares its campus with Sree Sastha College of Engineering. In fact both the colleges are housed in the same building as well. The building is huge overlooking the spread out grounds. There are football, badminton, volleyball and ball badminton courts on the campus.
The college library is also quite well stocked. Reading room facility is provided and students can use the computers and internet post the college hours.

There aren’t many companies coming on the campus for placements. HCL is one of the largest companies that visit the campus and arguably the largest recruiter for Sree Sastha Group.

Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering Technology (SSIET) is located on the NH4 near Chembarambakkam Lake. The college is approximately 30 km from Chennai Central and it takes around 2 hours by the MTC buses. The college does provide bus service but students prefer travelling by the MTC buses. Many of the 3rd and 4th year students travel by bike. As the college is located on the highway so accessibility is better than the colleges located in the interiors.

Sree Sastha surprisingly has a CCD in its premises, which is like an exotic place for the students here although most of them have never visited it. There is an ice cream shop too on the campus which is flocked by students during the breaks. Yes it might bring back the memories of good old school days.

Sree Sastha Inst of Engg & Tech has a majority of the crowd from Chennai and Kanchipuram. The college has both boys’ and girls’ hostels but not many stay in them. The 1st years have a different hostel to prevent them getting bullied by the seniors. The crowd is not very studious, rather fun loving by Chennai standards.

Amberz is the annual technical symposium of Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology. The festival is a very modest one & sees little participation from other colleges. But it is better than many of the other college symposiums.

Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering Technology is quite strict when it comes to attendance. Students are expected to have 80% attendance and if it falls below 75% then you won’t be allowed to appear for the exam. Formals are compulsory over here, just like most other engineering colleges in Chennai. Students are supposed to groom well as otherwise you maybe chucked out of the college.

Well Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering & Technology is pretty old compared to its sister institution Sree Sastha College of Engineering. And it is a better option between the two. However, when compared to other colleges in this region it comes in 2nd or 3rd tier of colleges.

I have did BE in this college Still myself and many of my friends not got proper placement our life is ruined in fact to say I have scored 83 percentage in my degree. all fraudulent placement list on seeing that i have joined . No proper training, in my final semester project I have been allocated to 3 guide because they send some faculty out of college at the month of December to cut off their cost so we missed many talent faculty. I advise you seriously don't spoil your future by joining this college. thank you
