Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) is part of the huge and beautiful Symbiosis International University (SIU) campus which hosts many other sister institutes including one of the most sought-after B-Schools - SIBM. Infra is nothing to complain about, as it's a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus with clean and tidy classrooms, a spacious enough library and enough books.

Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) is located in Lavale, a distant but beautiful locality about an hour's drive from Central Pune. Regular to fro travel is generally avoided by the students and although it isn't compulsory, most of them have opted to stay in the hostel. Those who wish to stay with their families, come what may, can make use of the college bus facility, which takes you from the Symbiosis Institutes near FC Road to the Lavale campus in about 45 minutes.

Unlike, other engineering colleges in Pune, Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) doesn't have a Maharashtrian dominated crowd - it's greatly diverse with Andhra students forming a small majority. Expect to have a lot of fun once you find the right people for yourself, which you're most likely to.

"Reverb" is the annual techno-cultural festival of Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) held in mid-February. Although it's said to be an inter-college festival it hardly gets any participation from other colleges, perhaps because of its distant location. Apart from Reverb, there's one other fest - the sports fest - Pro Athletis.

You cannot average it out, you need to have 75% attendance separately in theory lectures and practicals in each subject! Those failing to do so, are conferred with TNGs (Term Not Granted) and are debarred from sitting for exams.
