Well, the professors at Symbiosis Law School are pretty average. Though there are a few who are highly experienced and have in-depth knowledge about their subject, there are some who are just about bearable. Overall, the faculty is quite mixed with decent English communication for obvious reasons.

Symbiosis Law School shares it campus with the College of Arts and Commerce. Sadly, there are a lot of space constraints for the law students as the ground and first floor of the entire building is dedicated to them. They have a separate library where books pertaining to criminology, case studies, etc. are all easily available. As, law students have to research on hundreds and thousands of cases and make presentations, the association has given the permission for a Wifi connection in the college. But, they’re pretty strict for any other students not using it.

Companies like Vedanta, ICICI and many big names roughly recruit 70% of the students from a batch and offer them a salary of around 6-7 lakhs per annum. The factor of being a Deemed University gives it an advantage, atleast in placements, over other Law Colleges in the city.

Symbiosis Law College, a Deemed University, is located on the famous Symbi Hills which is 2 minutes walking from the famous Indian Law College. Most of the students prefer to come by bikes or four wheelers while hardly any uses the PMT buses, undoubtedly, there frequency is pretty bad. Symbiosis is quite famous in Pune and one can reach from any corner of the city to the college.

In one word, WOW! Well, the college doesn’t have a ‘canteen’; the students call it as a cafeteria, named as Symbi Food Court, to give it an up market feel. Ranging from chinese to dal rice, from thaali’s to bakery, everything in the food court is worth a try. Moreover, prices are pretty economical and it’s sufficiently spaced.

FC Road, the most hyped street of Pune, is 5 minutes walking from the college. From hundreds of restaurants and cafés to multiple road side stalls/tapris, you get every possible thing here. Students are usually seen at the very famous Vaishali and Rupali restaurant, followed by the expensive coffee chains in India, Mocha and Barista. There is a sandwich and roll waala at a stone’s throw away distance from the Fergusson Schoolgate which is extremely famous among the student’s community. When you’re at FC, you need not worry on the past time.

The law college has students from different parts of India and less from the city of Pune. In short, you meet less number of localities here. The crowd is pretty much into studies and some devotes their time to the college festival as well.
