The teaching staff at Daulat Ram College is just about average. Most of the professors have their doctorate degrees from excellent universities and are extremely well versed with their topics. Senior professors are pretty experienced and students love their method of teaching as examples are presented constantly. Lectures are conducted in English and Hindi depending upon the mood of the teacher.

Even though the college campus isn’t huge, Daulat Ram College has a a huge beautiful lush green garden at the entrance of the college which is excellently maintained. The small college building has a few air conditioned classrooms while some of them are under renovation. The air conditioned library is well equipped with all the books while the AC labs are pretty much neat and clean. There is no wifi connectivity in the campus though internet labs are always available with no restriction.

Located in the North Campus of Delhi University, Daulat Ram College is situated very close to the second gate of the campus and is easily noticeable by the blue sign boards at regular intervals. The nearest metro station is Vishwavidyalaya (Yes, the name of the station is because of the university and thus one can understand how famous and reputed the campus is) on the Yellow Line and is a minute walk from the main gate of the campus. There are hundreds of cycle rickshaws right at the gate of the university and outside every college within the North campus which charge you Rs. 10. The DTC bus frequency, especially for the North campus, is pretty awesome and drops you to the college gate at a mere cost of Rs. 10. Some prefer to come by their private vehicles while a few choose to walk to the college. In short, accessibility is not a problem and connectivity is superb.
NOTE: There is a bicycle stand right outside the gate of the university which provides bicycles on a rental basis. The cost is Rs. 10 for four hours. Can’t expect anything cheaper than this!

Well, one thing that Daulat Ram is surely better than other colleges in DU is the canteen. Excellent variety, tasty food, good quantity and affordable prices is what one would look for in the canteen. “Souuuthh Indiaannnnnn”, shouted a bunch of girls as the best food item in the canteen.

At the North campus, you can expect one of the best hangouts in Kamla Nagar Market. There are various coffee chains like CCD and Barista, several fresh fruit juice parlours, chole bhatures roadside and many more. The Ridge is generally jam packed with lovely couples of all the colleges within the campus. J.P tea stall at Delhi School of Economics (DSE) is also a common hangout for all the students. Movie lovers are seen in Plaza at Connaught Place (CP).

As Daulat Ram is affiliated to Delhi University, most of the students are from the city of Delhi. Girls from the NCR belt are not in a good ratio here. As it’s a girls college, you can expect to see girls from conservative backgrounds and shy most of the times. Foreign students aren’t seen in the college much. The crowd balances their extra curricular and academic activities properly and cat fights atleast aren’t seen in the campus.

Though students have to maintain the 66% attendance mark compulsorily, an attendance of around 55% will do. The college staff is pretty lenient as compared to other colleges in DU. Girls find this as a plus point.
