BITS Pilani Hyderabad presents to you its second edition of ATMOS, an exclusive national techno-management festival. Year after year, we keep pushing our limits, striving for more. ATMOS’13 is the result of an outrageous response to its maiden edition, ATMOS’12, that established a culture of having an independent national annual technical festival on this campus.

BITS Pilani Hyderabad presents to you its second edition of ATMOS, an exclusive national techno-management festival. Year after year, we keep pushing our limits, striving for more. ATMOS’13 is the result of an outrageous response to its maiden edition, ATMOS’12, that established a culture of having an independent national annual technical festival on this campus. This idea earlier evolved from a successful techno-cultural festival, Pearl’12 we had In February 2012. Embracing the fact that change is the only constant, we are all geared up to surprise the world again with what we have to offer.
At ATMOS, we promise to incorporate every possible aspect that helps us provide a comprehensive learning experience, with a conscious, coordinated and planned effort of a marvellous conglomeration of all branches of engineering and all fields of science. On one hand, the guest lectures and technical workshops are oriented to create an atmosphere to enjoy and understand the solid foundations and growth of technology in the contemporary world, on the other hand, there are events and competitions in every possible branch of science and management that challenge some of the best minds across the country to prove of their technical expertise and competitive spirit.
In line-up this year are many innovative and multi-dimensional events, with the major focus being on interactive learning, the very foundation for growth, only to dig out creativity out of the finest. From Robo wars to code wars, from Trebuchet wars to Popsicle constructions, you name it, we have it.
We also present to you for the very first time, an array of management and innumerable miscellaneous events that promise to keep you engaged.
THE MAJOR EVENTS:
WINDOWS 8 APPFEST
The Micrsoft Windows 8 AppFest, an initiative by Microsoft India, is a platform for young developers to design applications for Windows 8 operating system. For the students it was an opportunity to apprise themselves of the know-how of applications designing and also find a place to share their ideas with others.
The goal of the event is to ignite the imagination of students from colleges representing the full spectra of Indian academia by offering the chance to design the perfect app with guidance from professional developers.
This ATMOS, Microsoft is coming up with a Windows 8 Appfest in collaboration with BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus.
A Model United Nations as the name suggests is a simulation of the actual United Nations where students from all over the nation represent various countries spread across the different councils being simulated in an MUN. Students will be required to prepare as delegates of the countries they have been allotted, and discuss on the given agenda.
We bet most of you have dreamed of racing our cars at top speeds through spick, black race courses. Come October and BITS, Pilani Hyderabad Campus will be all set to fulfill your dream, well, in a way. On the line of the ecstatic Moto GP competition, we are conducting The Mini GP competition. The competition will have its participants (or racers) drive self-designed remote controlled cars through deliciously twisty race tracks to win the final cup! Seems simple? Well, brace yourselves for some rock solid competition. Forget not, the more innovative and inventive your design is, the closer you are to the Mini GP cup.
Come forth, the mighty Robots and their brainy Masters.
The battle is about to begin. Gear up yourselves for the deadly combat of the best of robots as they are pitted against each other in a specially-designed arena. Extraordinary design, a pinch of creativity and loads of adrenaline rush- just the perfect formula to emerge as the ruler of the arena and the winner of this Robowar!
If you believe in action more than just words, Ideathon is the perfect challenge. For all the startup enthusiasts, designers, developers, marketers, this is the ideal platform to get together and brainstorm. With the clock ticking, you have to share your ideas, form teams, build products and launch your startup in just 30 hours. Supported by resources such as technical aid, startup tips, mentorship and guidance from industry experts and acclaimed entrepreneurs, and pre-seed funding opportunities,
this event assures "All ACTION" this atmos.
1.The contest will be a 5 hour short contest.
2. There will be 5 questions for coding.
3. One must have a codechefID for participation.If you do not have one go on to create one id in www.codechef.com to be eligible to participate.

In the plethora of pulsating events this ATMOS, many of which require you to be equipped with various technical capabilities, we present to you an event whose only prerequisites are a curious mind and the ability to connect clues to the world around you. Contrary to popular belief, quizzing is a sport that has evolved beyond the clumsy boundary lines of bland information and factual memory. So when you step ahead to be part of Enigma, our national level, multi-city General Quiz, you have as much a shot at victory as anybody else, because this is one sport where you don't have to already belong to a niche group of knowledge seekers.
Ground reality is an annual startup challenge and entrepreneurship conclave organized by Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) - BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, to promote innovative startups within and outside the campus. The event is targeted to promote entrepreneurship in students and bridge the gap between markets,
industry and students.

Hearing that 'the stationary pieces are the starting point for the solution' or 'solve one side at a time' just was not enough information for the layman to solve the Rubik's Cube.

This event has nothing to do with Ethical Hacking or cryptanalysis. Use of tools like Jack-The-Ripper and Wireshark will not be useful. Basic knowledge of Shell Scripts and the GNU/Linux Operating System is what is required.
