Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Management Studies & Research (VESIMSR) will celebrate their annual management festival Chaitanya '13 on February 1st and 2nd. The two-day fest will have management events like B-Quiz and Fakonomy and cultural events like Face-Painting, Groove-it-up and more. Amongst sports events there'll be Cricket, Football and Indoor sports.

RULE BOOK


MANAGEMENT EVENTS

B-Quiz

  1. A team should consist of only two individuals.
  2. Only team entries are eligible for the competition.
  3. The names of the registered participants will be considered as final and no replacement of any participant of the team is allowed thereafter.
  4. In case if either of the registered participants is unable to make it for the competition then the entire team would not be allowed to participate in the competition.
  5. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments during the competition.
  6. Any misconduct will result in direct elimination of the particular team.
  7. The participants should carry I card of their institute.
  8. The decision of the Quiz-Team will be final.

 

Brand-Iose

  1. Maximum 7 participants per team for role play ads
  2. Time limit will be 10 mins
  3. Print ad participants will have to bring their own material
  4. Participants can choose any product/service they want
  5. Vulnerable ads will be disqualified

 

CULTURAL EVENTS

El-Belezza

  1. It is a team event. A team can have 8-10 members.
  2. Time limit for every team would be maximum 10 minutes (including set up and performance).
  3. If the time limit is exceeded points will be deducted i.e. less 1 point for every extra minute.
  4. The theme is “CURRENT SOCIAL ISSUES”.
  5. Every team should carry their tracks in a pen drive/CD.
  6. Participants should carry their own props.
  7. Vulgarity is strongly prohibited. Any form of obscenity will lead to debarring the team from the event.
  8. Teams will be judged on theme, costumes, walking stance, posture and attitude.
  9. Decision of the judges will be final and binding.

 

Groove It Up

  1. Participants can perform any kind of dance
  2. It’s a team event. A team can have 6-10 members.
  3. Time limit for Dance Performance should be 8 minutes including set up.
  4. Every team should carry their tracks in a pen drive/CD.
  5. Costumes and Props should be arranged by participant.
  6. Violence of discipline will result in disqualification.
  7. Vulgarity is strongly prohibited.
  8. Events will be judged by professionals
  9. Decision of judge or management will be final.

 

Temple Run

  1. There would should be 3 members in each group
  2. Each group will have 3 set of tasks to perform
  3. Each task is to be performed by only 1 member
  4. Following are the tasks to be performed
    • The clue hunt (one clue will lead to another)
    • Riddles (to be solved in papers)
    • Things to get (photographs of things in cellphones allowed)
  5. The group to finish the task 1st and score maximum will be the winner.

 

Just inSeconds

  1. This is an Individual event.
  2. It will be a knock out event.
  3. Games will be decided on the spot.
  4. Participants using any unfair means will be disqualified.

 

Face Painting

  1. You will have 1 hour to complete your face painting.
  2. Only industry standard professional face and body painting products are allowed.
  3. Airbrush can be used in combination with sponge and brush, however, airbrush application is not to exceed 50% of total design.
  4. Colors which are used for face painting are compulsory others are not allowed.
  5. Special effects may be used including:
    • False eyelashes
    • Gemstones
    • Glitter (are allowed)
  6. Reference materials, drawings are allowed to be used during the competition( For the references only).
  7. Painting may be down all the way down to the lower neck and shoulders ..
  8. Head pieces are optional, but only the face will be judged
  9. Hair and eyelashes are the only things allowed to be completed before competition time.
  10. Judging will be based on:
    • Creativity
    •  Flow of Design
    • Visual Impact
    • Color Scheme
    • Quality of Application

 

SPORTS EVENTS

Straight Drive:

  1. No. of players per team 6+1 subs.
  2. 5 overs each side.
  3. Max of 1 bowler can bowl 2 overs.
  4. No back hand swing allowed.
  5. NO BALLS and WIDE will not be counted as official ball and 1 run will be scored by the opponent team.
  6. Byes and Leg Byes are allowed.

 

Freak Kick:

  1. No. of players per team 5+2 subs.
  2. Rolling substitutions are allowed.
  3. Half Time is 10 minutes with a break of 5 minutes between halves.
  4. The goalkeeper is not allowed to use hands to stop any shots.
  5. Goals will be allowed only from ahead of the half-line.

 

Carombola:

  1. Boys & Girls singles respectively
  2. Knock Out rounds at entry level
  3. At the end of 3 boards, the player with maximum point wins the match ( Applicable for rounds after entry level)
  4. No shaking of chair after match starts.
  5. Not to touch the striker before all the coins and striker is still.
  6. Ask the referee before every break.
  7. Touching of coins while picking striker is considered a foul.
  8. No tapping after match starts.
  9. No powder wiping after match starts.
  10. If double dew occurs while covering the queen then 2 coins come up and then player has to cover the queen.
  11. If there occurs double dew with queen then the queen and extra coin comes up.
  12. While placing dew coin, multiple touches is considered as foul.
  13. Touching of pockets after starting of match is not allowed.
  14. 14.  Call for the foul after the turn to the referee.
  15. 15.  At the time of Tie, every player will be given 3 chance to put the center queen in the pocket.

 

Check-ur-Mate:

  1. Each round will be of 30 mins, 15 secs per turn.
  2. If coin not moved within the time, turn will be missed.
  3. Strictly touch to move.
  4.  If game doesn’t finishes within specified time point system will be applicable.
  5. Points table is as follows:
    • Pawn: 1 point
    • Knight and bishop: 3 points
    • Rook: 5 points
    • Queen: 9 points
  6. Call of check is compulsory

 

TischTennis:

  • Each game at entry level will be of 11 points, 2 serves and ends only when one player reaches 11 points.
  • However if the score reaches 10 all, then winner is determined by difference (or lead) of two points (deuce-adv format).
  • At Semis and Finale, each game will be of 21 points, 5 serves and ends only when
  • All matches will be played on a knockout basis
