Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur will celebrate their annual cultural festival "Springfest" from January 23rd to January 26th, 2013. Events ranging from performances by renowned rock bands, talented singers to dance competions and creative writing and art competitions will be organized with thousands of students participating all over the country.

Spring fest can be defined as the annual social and cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur, but this definition does not encompass the depth of the pure fun, frolic and heights of excitement and euphoria associated with this mecca of fests. With a plethora of more than 60 events ranging from varied genres, it provides a platform to the students where they can prove their mettle and calibre.
The fest is old, fifty three years of glorious presence that make it one with the culture of IIT Kharagpur. So, here comes the season again, with the preparations roaring and the organizing team sweating to perfect each and every moment of the four days. The dates of the fest this year are from January 23rd to 26th, and the theme this year the legendary tales of Arabian nights. What a journey it has been, looking into the eyes of this fest for next year, trailing are the aspirations of whole of Eastern India.
Spring fest 2012 was an incarnation of dreams; and the enthusiasm of the team behind it inexplicable. With everything falling perfectly in place, Spring fest’12 was one of the best editions ever and this year, team Spring fest 2013 hopes to take it to bigger heights.
