The faculty is well educated and well qualified. Most of the communication happens in Gujarati, and some also speak in Hindi, but that’s only to make students comfortable, lectures happen in English though. Faculties taking Advanced Marketing Management and Taxation are most popular and teach exceptionally. And along with it are a few not-so-good teachers, which don’t go down as popular with students. Yet most are friendly and approachable with none having attitude or ego issues with students. The usual college timings are 9 AM to 12 noon, and 3 lectures of one hour each, this makes the day smooth and stress free.

The building is a 3 storey white structure and has a very typical feel, with ground in the centre and colleges building in the shape of a U. There are about 6-7 separate blocks for various departments and 8 gates to the building. The classrooms are big and spacious and well ventilated. Seats are comfortable and rooms are airy. Computer Labs are just needed in the first year, and still there has been no compromise there. The seminar hall and the auditorium are all equipped with multimedia systems. Wi-Fi is setup but students do not have access to internet as currently it is password protected. The library being on the 4th floor is a bit of an issue, as the building doesn’t have an elevator. The library is very resourceful, with textbooks, reference books, newspapers and subscription magazines. Most of what you need to study is available at the library.

Coca-Cola visited the campus last year to recruit students’ on-campus. The placement officer as the students say is a hard working guy, constantly trying to get more and more companies to campus. The average pay package her is about Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month, and about 30-40% students manage to get a job on-campus. Others choose to pursue relevant higher education or some even have the luxury to join their family businesses.
The college (rather the KSV group) also organizes for job-fairs. Career oriented guidelines are offered to students at the job fair.

Well, those who live in Gandhinagar find it easy to reach most of the colleges that are in the various sectors. The college is located in Sector 13, near KH 6 circle with other KSV colleges in the campus and across the road too. VTCOS buses make travelling inside Gandhinagar convenient. For those who travel from Ahmedabad it may be a bit of a hassle. Travelling by GSRTC buses, time and money wise are a better option. Sharing rickshaws are available from RTO and Kalupur areas. ST buses are frequent from Gandhinagar, but getting to other parts of Ahmedabad from the Northern exit would take time. Taking a BRTS from RTO would also be convenient.

The canteen is spacious, and generously big enough to accommodate everyone, with shining steel tables and very comfortable yet efficient seating. The food is tasty, and hygienic while being moderately priced.A samosa plate is affordable. Tea and samosa is a popular snack, meals are also available and are decent.

Well there is nothing much around, but getting to places in Sectors of Gandhinagar is not the any difficult. There’s Cinemax theatre in Ch-3 Sector 11, there is ‘chowpatty’ the road side eateries at the Gh-5 Circle and on the road that leads into the circle. Akshardham Temple in Sector 20 is a popular hangout destination to spend time with friends. For the more outgoing souls, Ahmedabad is not too far either, so a 15Km ride, and you can find a myriad of options to explore.

The crowd is a thorough mixture of people from various backgrounds, there are the sincere students, and there is also the more rustic set of people, for whom studies are not a top priority. It’s almost evenly distributed, but never is there any kind of indiscipline in the classroom or the college premises. 40% of the students are locals from Gandhinagar, while the rest are from Ahmedabad and districts around. Of course there is no ‘gundagiri’ in the college, but small tiffs tend to happen. The college, crowd and the area all are absolutely safe for girls even later in the evenings. The girl to boy ratio would be almost equal, with some girls being more traditional, while some being modern.

To welcome every new batch every year, the college organizes a fresher’s party which the students do enjoy. BBA department organizes a festival called ‘Aina’ and is strictly for BBA department students only. On the other hand B.Com department organizes ‘Yahoo’ which is a festival open to students of all the departments, and people participate with more zeal and fervor.

The college insists that students maintain up to 80% attendance, but by the end of the semester, those with 60% or more are considered with warnings. If by the end of the semester you fail to manage even 60%, well then your parents could be called for an explanation, and in the worst case you can be detained too.

At BP College, there are various disciplines of study offered. KSV as an organization has a good reputation in Gandhinagar, and being a privately run University, about 60-70% students residing in Gandhinagar consider it over GU/GTU or other private universities (For those students who put studies before other things). The college is good, and it also offers a decent college life.
