The faculty here is good, comprising many senior professors and only a few juniors. The seniors are experienced, know their subjects very well and are good as a teacher. Juniors on the other hand are not as experienced but are friendly with the students and make it a point that students follow their teaching nicely. The general communication during a lecture takes place in English, but teachers are flexible about that and can explain you some topics in Hindi too if you request them. One thing the students don’t like about the teachers is that they are extremely strict and won’t allow you in the lectures if you are late by even one minute.

The infrastructure of DCAC can be rated as average. With the new building under construction, and existing one having been a little worn out from the outside, the campus looks like that of a school. However once venture inside it fells totally different. There are all the basic facilities which are maintained very well. The library is air-conditioned and contains all the required books in enough quantity. There is also a separate reading room where you can study from your own material or from the books issued by the library. The college provides Wi-fi internet connectivity but you get to use it only for academic purposes and not for social networking. However you can freely access the internet from computer labs when practicals are not being conducted. The college has very good facilities for sports which include a basketball court, a general playground and a recreational room where you can play indoor games like carom, chess and table-tennis.

The placements of DCAC can be said somewhere between good and average. Big companies like BHEL, Tata and Reliance visit the campus for recruitments. About 50% students opt for placements and most of them get placed securing to get average salary of 3 lakh rupees. Others go for higher studies or professional courses like CA and CS.

Delhi college of Arts and Commerce popularly known as DCAC is located M block, Netaji nagar. The college is well connected by buses and the nearest bus stop would be M-block or the Leela palace bus stop, which is a 10 minutes’ walk from the college. The bus frequency is not great and you might have to spend up to 30 minutes at the bus stop waiting for your bus to come. The college is not accessible by metro, which is why many of the students prefer to travel by their own bikes and cars. However, if you are coming from far places like Rohini or NOIDA, metro would be a option and you should get down at INA metro station on the yellow line. From there you have to take an auto to reach the college.

The canteen is kind of smallish but it’s nicely decorated to make it look like a beach shack. Here you can have hygienic, home like food at affordable prices, with Rajma Chawal priced at Rs 20. You also get a lot of variety ranging from fast food to complete meals.

There are a plenty of Hangouts in the nearby areas of Satya Niketan and DU south campus ranging from eateries to bars and gaming zones. A few places which are most frequented by students include Addiction, QD’s, Pool academy and gaming lounge. if you are low on budget; there are a lot cheap options for you. You can find these non-descript vendors selling some of the tastiest (and most un-hygienic too) food items like rolls, chilly potato and chowmein in the south campus.

DCAC sees a nice crowd that belongs to some of the most posh areas of south Delhi. People here are mixing and it is easy to make new friends for a fresher. There are an equal number of girls and guys. You can find a balanced crowd in this college, which actively participates in all the college events and does academically good too. “Padhai ke waqt padh lete hai” says a student. Overall you can expect to enjoy your college years while managing to cope with your studies.

DCAC celebrates its annual festival by the name ‘Scoop’ in the month of November. There is a lot of participation by all the students in various cultural events like fashion show, dance and dramatics. Apart from this main festival there are many societies organising their festivals individually, which are spaced evenly throughout the year. So there are no dull phases and you can enjoy the college life to the fullest.

Top Attendance Reviews ALL Attendance REVIEWS

DCAC is lenient about attendance. The university norm of 67% is relaxed up to 50%, and even below that for people having genuine problems. You might have to some sort of bond saying that you will improve on your attendance, if you are a defaulter. There have been some cases, when students having extremely poor attendance were not allowed to sit for the exams. But in general if you attend some lectures and if your teachers recognize you as a student of this college you won’t have any issues with the attendance. This is especially helpful for those students who are doing professional courses like CA or preparing for entrance exams along with graduation.

Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is “bahut hi badhiya college hai” as described by a student. You can strike a good balance between studies and other activities in this college. And the college can be placed as one of the better colleges in DU south campus.

I'm a pass out from college. college is excellent in academics. There are many university toppers & placement from KPMG, Genpact, Google. Teachers are friendly & co-operative, few are strict.
college is famous for Crowd & different societies & fest, canteen is rightly what above said.
It's a mix bag of what Delhi university college are famous for.
