The teachers are very helpful and dedicated towards their work. The teachers are also said to be giving students important questions, and notes to study from for the exams. And most importantly the teachers complete the course of the syllabus well in time, so that students have enough time to prepare for the exams there on.

The college does not have a really great infrastructure to boast about. A decent building, adjacent to the School, is the academic block of the college. Yet the college provides a nice, air-conditioned seminar hall for the students. The computer labs are also updated with decent computers, and are air-conditioned. The library too is air-conditioned, and students find it satisfactory. The classrooms are big and spacious but no A/C here, but that’s really okay to the students. One big facility lacking here is sports and recreational activities, and students really feel the need for some kind of sporting facility around.

The location of the college as the students find it is good. Commuting to the college is never an issue as there is a bus stop right outside the college, and a lot of buses from various parts of the city can conveniently drop you over here. If you wish to travel by the Metro, Rajendra Place is the closest metro station on the Blue Line. And overall, around 50 % prefer getting their own vehicles mostly bikes.

The college does not provide a Hostel for the students from outside Delhi but a lot of easy Paying Guest (PG) options are available around.

The canteen is just normal, like any other canteen, but it serves only vegetarian food. The quality of the food cannot be commented on, but one thing is for sure, that its cheap and affordable. The most expensive thing if you were to see are the fizzed cold-drinks, that are priced at Rs.25. Everything else, the chowmein, the dosas, the samosas, all come for less than 25, so you can see that its affordable.

Library is where you would find students going to after bunking classes, pretty unusual but true. Apart from that, there is the Jhandewalan Mandir quite close, that has a 40 feet Lord Hanuman structure, it’s huge, and impressive. There are malls near Rajouri Garden which are popular hangouts too. And there are random road side eateries could also be relished without going any far.

The crowd here is very varied, and people from different courses are from different backgrounds. The students here do not differentiate between people when it comes to interacting or making friends with. It is very easy to make friends here, but find people you might want to stay away from too. But one notable thing about the college, is that the teachers also do not differentiate amongst the students in anyway, which is a nice thing. It’s a peaceful college, and people here believe in living in peace.

The college celebrates its foundation day with quite a show. Other celebrations include the fresher’s party, and the college annual festival. All these events see active participation from all the students, and the teachers as well. Activities include NSS and NCC i.e. the National Cadet Corps, and the National Social Service is also quiet active.

Attendance, oh it is not really an issue here, because you can settle you claims with the administration at the end of the semester, at the rate of Rs.2 per day of attendance. But you can still keep a 50 % attendance to stay safe.

Teachers are helpful and learning follows , that’s what makes the college good. Apart from that there is nothing else you would like to look out for, at this college.

Infrastructure is really lacking at Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa college. The management has promised to make upgrades. We hope it would be better very soon.
