GLS has a moderate sized campus and the area has been utilized in such a way that not an inch is wasted. One building near entrance to campus is for HA Shah College of Commerce (HACC). When you compare it to other newer buildings in campus, it looks pretty ancient and ramshackle. The interiors aren’t that bad though. Of course high end facilities like Wi-Fi internet and air-condition which are there in new buildings are not available here but the basics are taken care of.

There is a placement cell in HA College of Commerce called ‘Udisha’ as per directions of state government. This cell has many contacts within the corporate world and also due to reputation of GLS many companies pour in for recruitments. In fact most companies are common for HACC, GLSIC and GLS-BBA.

HA College of Commerce is located in GLS campus which in turn is located in the heart of Ahmedabad and is famous all over the city. Connectivity by AMTS is great but BRTS hasn’t yet reached here. Many share autos are also available to various parts of city.

There is just one small canteen between all the colleges & courses on campus and seating arrangement is very poor. There is not much variety in food stuffs available here. Most of the times you get snacks and packed items and meals are available only twice a week.

Crowd is from Ahmedabad only, unlike other colleges on campus where people come from Gandhinagar and other nearby places. Students here are more studies oriented and involved less in events held by GLS.

‘Youth Festival’ is the main annual festival in which almost everyone takes part. Their Garba held in school ground for 1 or 2 days during Navratri are also very famous. Apart from these two the usual 5 or 7 odd college days are held during December.

H. A. College of Commerce is very old and reputed college for commerce in Ahmedabad. But some colleges, including the newer ones have risen above it in recent years. Thus it is considered as safe bet for toppers and good choice for average scorers in 12th.
