Except for the Mechanical branch, other branches do not have great faculty. Most of the faculty is young and are fresh into the profession of teaching. Even though the teachers are new and inexperienced, they are cooperative and helpful. Also, the quality of teaching is decent, again owing to the fact that the college pays its teachers well and facilities like faculty quarters make it likely for good teachers to teach in IES.

The campus of IES College of Technology and Management is a huge, lush green campus built on 40 acres of land. It can well be said to be biggest campus of Bhopal. Along with Engineering, the college also has management, pharmacy and education courses which make the campus not only huge but also diverse. IES College of Technology and Management is one college which has a really stringent security, one has to have an ID card to get in, and latecomers are not allowed to get in. There is a basketball court, a football ground and a cricket pitch is coming up soon. Laboratories are good, better than most colleges in Bhopal owing to the fact that it’s a private college with most of the machines and apparatus new and well maintained. There is an air conditioned central computer laboratory which is huge and common to all students in campus. The college also has a big auditorium and guest house facilities. Classrooms too, are airy and big- basically the infrastructure is among the top 5 in Bhopal with huge corresponding fees for it.

IES College of Technology and Management upon its inception recorded very good placements but they have gone down over the years with only around 30% students getting placed. Core companies for Civil and Mechanical branches have become extinct in IES College of Technology and Management. Computer Science and Information technology branches have sufficiently better placements than the other branches. Average salaries are around 2-2.5 Lakh Per Annum with highest salaries reaching up till 4 Lakh Per Annum. Unlike the tall claims made by the college, there is quite a resentment among students about the dwindling number of students getting placed.

IES College of Technology and Management is located about 10 KM away from the main city of Bhopal in Kalkheda, along the main road towards RatiBud area of the suburbs in Bhopal. College busses ply in the entire city for all students coming to the campus; some students use the college bus while a few use their own two wheelers. Very few manage using public transport in the form of Auto rickshaws or pickup trucks. One has to walk a long uneven road to reach the college from the main road and hence a lot of students prefer college busses.

Hostel facilities for boys are available in campus but very few opt for it because the campus is secluded from the main city; also the food in the mess is below average. There is no central Wi-Fi connectivity in the campus.

There are two main canteens in the campus and a small outlet for chips and cold drinks. Canteens serve lunch and breakfast at nominal rates. Students do not complain about the canteen although hygiene is one concern among the students in IES College of Technology and Management.

Nothing at all; The huge campus and its lush green gardens are the only hangouts in IES College of Technology and Management. There is absolutely nothing till 10 KM outside of the campus.

IES College of Technology and Management students are a diverse lot with most students participating in extra curricular’s. You will hardly find a nerd in campus. Most students are from UP and Bihar with a few from Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. The college follows a strict dress code and students not in the uniform are not allowed in campus.

IES College of Technology and Management do not have a tech fest though the students are trying for one. College celebrates annual festivals and a cultural festival named ‘Utkarsh’ was celebrated in the year 2010 which was of an average level with a few colleges attending and participating. Since then though, there has been no substantial fest celebrated in IES College of Technology and Management.

Attendance is not very strict. Anything above 50% of attendance is fine with students getting a caution letter for defaulting. When attendance falls below 50% parents are called and fines are imposed. Students generally do not have an attendance less than 50%.

IES College of Technology and Management is a private college and hence have maintained good repute among the private colleges in Bhopal. IES College of Technology and Management would feature in the top 20 colleges of Bhopal and top 10 Private colleges of Bhopal. Thumbs up to the infrastructure but the college needs to work on its quality of education.
