Since Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) is a relatively new engineering college, not many senior and experienced faculty are willing to teach here. Majority of the lecturers are said to be either pursuing M.Tech or recently got done. "Although they're thorough with their topics, they're not able to teach satisfactorily, perhaps because, they can't express this knowledge very well" expresses a third- year student. Of all the departments, CSE is known to have the best teachers while students from the Electronics Instrumentation (EI) department say it's best to give this college a miss if you're considering EI.

The surrounding area and the approach road to Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) are so cramped up that you wouldn't want to believe there's an engineering college back there. But once you get in through the narrow entrance, the massive campus is revealed as if you've entered into an entirely different realm. However, students claim that the infrastructure isn't taken good care of; there's just one big sports ground which is totally messed up and rather utilized as parking area. Moreover, the library is tiny and lacks some important books. Wi-Fi is detected in laptops and mobiles but, it seldom connects. Fortunately, there are no issues with labs and classrooms.

Considering it's been less than a decade since Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) was established, the placements scenario is appreciable. "We have a dedicated training department called Finishing School which has been an important driving force behind our performance in interviews" reveals a final year student. Companies like Zensar, TechMahindra, IBM, Genesis recruit about half the students here. However, placements are said to be exceptional only for the Computer Science department and with no core companies offering jobs, the remaining departments have to either settle with IT, hunt for work themselves or opt for higher education.

this year college achieved 100% placment and the only college teach company oriented programs like they teach subjects apart from jntu-h syllabus like andriod programming etc
The main thing which is helpul for software proffesional is certification college has program to their students and teach them many certification programs like ocjp ,ocp, css, jsp So,upgrathation required from the end of stupid sid about this college

Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) is one of the few engineering colleges in Hyderabad which can be said to be in the 'heart of the city'. It's only a couple of kilometres from Koti and is easily accessible through public transport as the RTC bus stop is a minute's walk from the college.

The regular-sized canteen at Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) has been recently revamped. However, the food served tastes just the usual. There's not much to appreciate about the canteen, but neither is there anything to complain.

The best part of any college within city limits is that you'll find innumerable places to hang out as soon as you step out from the college. There are several food stalls and bakeries within walking distance from Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) allowing you to munch on your favourite items. If you get bored with these, head towards Secunderabad Railway Station and you'll come across hundreds more on the way. For those with deep pockets, Himayat Nagar isn't far. So you'll get your Dadu's, KFC, Chutneys, Pizza Corner, Domino's, McDonald's, Subway, Cafe Coffee Day et al.

As Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) is located in central Hyderabad, loads of city-dwellers prefer it over some of the distant engineering colleges. The ratio of localites is higher than most other engineering colleges in Hyderabad. Yet, KMITians are known to be introverts. "Many just come to college, attend classes and leave home. May be it's because they think too high of themselves!" comments a KMITian who considers herself as an exception.

Another aspect where Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT) takes a beating; there are no festivals celebrated. The exact reason for missing college-fests is not known; some blame the college authorities of not being encouraging while some others feel that the students themselves are not enthusiastic enough.

Minimum restrictions and flexible rules provide a very student-friendly environment at Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT). Those breaching the mandatory requirement of 75% attendance have to shell out fines (as high as Rs. 5,000) but only as deposit; they get it back if they attend regularly for 3 months or so.
First and second year students are not supposed to go out of the campus between college hours (9:30am to 3:30pm). They manage to find a way, though. "We just maintain a cordial relation with the security guards" reveals a second year KMITian.
