The teaching staff at KC College is extremely good. As it produces one of the best results in town, undoubtedly some or most of the credit goes to their lecturers. Science department have a few teachers with towering attitude problems but the Commerce and Arts staff is quite friendly. The teachers are very experienced and are truly dedicated to their subjects. On a whole, the teaching staff gets a ‘thumbs up’.
Most of the students hate the office staff as they are rude and slow in their work.

The College shares its campus with HR College of Commerce. It’s a six storey building with average classrooms, some of which are air-conditioned. The laboratories are usually clean with all equipments available. There is a badminton court on the ground floor, where other indoor games like chess and table tennis are also enjoyed. The college boasts of one of the best libraries in town, firstly because it is air conditioned and secondly due to its audio visual sections.

The college has a history of producing good students with good marks. Undoubtedly, almost all of them get placed in hundreds of companies that come to KC. BMS, B.Sc, BAF, BMM and BMM students are allowed to sit for placements with BMM students getting a handsome salary.

Located in one of the posh localities of Mumbai, Churchgate, is the Kishanchand Chellaram College, quite famous as KC. The college is equidistant (2 minutes) from Churchgate Railway Station and the posh Marine Drive. Since, the college has students from all possible areas of Mumbai, train and buses are the most common modes of travelling to this college. The frequency of BEST buses is excellent. Some rich lads and chicks drive all the way to college.

You ask any student/ ex-student regarding his fond memories or the thing he likes/misses the most in KC. No, it won’t be girls. It’ll be the Canteen. Arguably, the best college canteen in town for three main reasons: 1. Excellent variety of food and taste
2.Easily affordable, in fact cheap
3.Decently spaced lengthwise
One of the students quoted, ‘Masala Pav, Chinese, Rolls, Burgers and cold drinks are the specialties of this canteen.’

When you’re in KC, BYE-BYE to mum’s food! Apart from the excellent canteen, there is Frankie parlour bang opposite the college gate which is flooded with students. Hundreds of expensive restaurants like Relish, Mocha, Pizzeria are one of the most famous hangouts of this college. Local restaurants like Satkar, Shri Sagar, Samadhan and the famous tapris in the Churchgate subway are the most common eating stalls. Book lovers are seen in Oxford, next to the college gate, while movie lovers enjoy the single screen Eros cinema. Last but definitely not the least in the list is Marine Drive which looks beautiful in the evening.

KC College comes under the HSNC board, hence majority of the students in this college are Sindhi’s. In spite of a Sindhi dominated college, you meet students from different backgrounds and religions, making it a good cosmopolitan environment. You find students from Northwest suburbs, happening Bandra and even from New Mumbai. Science department especially vocational lacks pretty face and macho mans but Arts, BMS, BMM and the Biology crowd is something to check out (Yeah! We mean check out). Not only the college has one of the most happening crowds in the city, but also studies and extracurricular activities are balanced excellently. The college has a history of producing good results and conducting excellent and rocking festivals/events. There are many clubs in the college for cultural, environmental, sports and social activities. Many celebrities and famous personalities visit the campus during events.

‘Kiran’, the annual college festival held in September while ‘Blitzkrieg’ is the festival of BMM, held in November. Both the festivals are conducted on a huge scale and you often see a lot of celebrities and filmstars make their way to the college.

If there is something called as 'complete package', KC should be the top in your list. One of the high ranked colleges in the city, KC is known for its legacy, the kind of students, teaching and amazing personality. It's an ambitious college for an above average student.
