Well, LNCT is said to be having the best faculty in Bhopal. Most of the teachers are senior and have completed their PhDs while teachers who are yet to complete their PhD (MTech qualified teachers) are not allowed to teach beyond the 1st year. Owing to its senior faculty, LNCT professors are strict about academics and attendance.

LNCT does not boast a huge campus, only 30 acres, but most facilities are available to the students. The campus is lush green with a multipurpose ground generally used for cricket and football, separate buildings for LNCT and LNCTS (though sometimes lectures may take place in any of them), one central and one auxiliary library with a few departmental libraries. The libraries’, especially the central library are largely adequate and counted as one of the best student facilities in Bhopal. Classrooms are well ventilated, spacious and most of them use technology like projectors. Laboratories are well maintained and the labs used by the core branches are updated frequently. All Labs except the workshops are air conditioned. The computer lab is said to be the best one. There are multiple conference rooms and a HUGE air conditioned auditorium with 1000+ seating capacity.

LNCT & LNCTS together recorded a massive 600+ students getting placed in India and abroad in 2014. The college records the highest percentage of placement in Bhopal. Students from the CS, IT, Electronics and EXTC branches get the highest number of offers while mechanical and civil get the least number of offers. Average salaries ranged from 3.5 Lac per annum while the highest recorded salary was 7 Lac per annum.

Laxmi Narayan College of Technology (LNCT) is a private college also known to be the first privately financed institution of central India. LNCT was established in 1994. Situated along Raisen road in the Kalchuri nagar area at the outskirts of Bhopal city, the relatively smaller campus is spread over 30 acres and is well connected with Bhopal city by the college busses. Apart from the 1st year students who use the college hostel, all other students use the college bus while a few of them use their personal scooters and bikes. The college bus covers every part of Bhopal, so connectivity is perfect!

There are 2 boys’ hostels within the campus but only for the 1st year students. After the 1st year, the students are expected to arrange for their own accommodation in Bhopal city. There is no girls hostel in the campus and the girls are accommodated in a rented out hostel in the Indrapuri Area of the main Bhopal city. There are a few guest houses and staff quarters in campus along with an ATM for students. Students from LNCT and LNCTS share most of the facilities in the campus.

The canteen is clean and big enough to accommodate lot many students, overcrowding rarely happens. Apart from breakfast and lunch, the college has a favourite magi station where most students prefer going. The canteen is also said to be the liveliest place in LNCT campus.

LNCT students do not have many options to hang out after college because of its distance from the main city and strict rules of getting in and out of college. During breaks, most students are found outside the college in shacks having tea and snacks or in the college canteen.

Crowd is more of an urban crowd, with around 30% students from Bhopal itself. The other students come from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and rest of Madhya Pradesh. There are negligible girls in the Mechanical and Civil branches while CS, IT have more or less an equal number of boys and girls, sometimes the number of girls even exceeding the number of boys. As the college consistently ranks among the top 3 colleges of Bhopal, the crowd is among the best in Bhopal, most of them enthusiastic and also intelligent. College uniform is compulsory to be worn at all times in the campus.

“Srishti” – sports, cultural and technical fest and “Planet Engineers”- The technical fest are widely attended by most colleges in Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh and are held on a grand scale. “Planet Engineers” is the most famous tech fest in Bhopal.

75% attendance is mandatory and is strictly adhered to. Failing to secure 75% attendance calls to deductions in sessional marks, complaints to parents and in severe cases students are asked to leave the college. Most students are bright and sincere; hence there are hardly students who fall short of attendance.

The LNCT campus has proved to be best college in Bhopal for more than a decade now with the best placement records, infrastructure and faculty.
