All faculties, from first year to final year, are very supportive in nature but they are not exceptional teachers. They are experienced but somewhere lack in transferring their knowledge to students. Overall students are pretty much satisfied with faculty at hand.

All the facilities that are needed for an educational institution and more are available. But arts student don’t really require anything part from classrooms and library. Classes are good and well maintained. A separate library for L&C Mehta Arts College is there, which is spacious and has all desired books available. Stuff like AC classrooms and Wi-Fi internet are there for other courses on campus but as mentioned before arts students don’t need these.

GLS campus is located in the heart of Ahmedabad and is famous all over the city. Connectivity by AMTS is great but BRTS hasn’t yet reached here. Many share autos are also available to various parts of city. However public transport is not of much importance for GLS students as most of them travel by their bikes and cars. Only those coming from Gandhinagar have to face the commotion of public transport.

There is just one small canteen between all the colleges & courses on campus and seating arrangement is very poor. There is not much variety in food stuffs available here. Most of the times you get snacks and packed items and meals are available only twice a week. Some improvement in canteen is definitely needed.

‘Youth Festival’ is the main annual festival in which the amount of participation is like crazy. Their Garba held in school ground for 1 or 2 days during Navratri are also very famous. Apart from these two the usual 5 or 7 odd college days are held during December.

75% attendance is needed as per university norms. College comes up with a defaulter’s list or a ‘black list’ once a month and those making on it will need to write assignments and their parents will be informed by sending out letters. If you still don’t take a cue from this, college will be left with no option but to prevent you from taking final exams. Apart from attendance there are some disciplinary rules too that are in place. For instance ID cards need to be worn all time while on campus. Overall L & C Mehta Arts College is a disciplined college.
