Students claim that apart from the Head of Departments and another one or two senior professors in the department, others have either just passed M.Tech or still pursuing it. They don't teach too well, but they put in their best efforts. On the whole, it's manageable apart from the occasional times when things go haywire and lectures and labs are not conducted regularly.

Established in 2008, Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) shares its miniscule campus with two of its sister institutes. Infrastructure is despicable with some classrooms as narrow as a train compartment. The library, though spacious, is devoid of some important books. There's a huge sports ground which is allegedly rented out for weddings three days a week and students have to play in a mini playground. The new building offers better amenities. Internet access is available in labs and through Wi-Fi.

Biggies like Google, HCL, Infosys hire students from the CSE and ECE departments but the job profiles offered are either Tech-Support or working at their Call-Centres. However, if you're looking at Software development or other pure engineering jobs, it's best to look elsewhere.

Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) is located close to the famous Taj Mahal Hotel in Abids, one of the busiest places in central Hyderabad. RTC buses of 7-series, 9-series, 65-series, 127-series and plenty others serve the area and getting to the college is a cakewalk.

On first glance, you may believe it to be a discarded garage. When closely inspected, you'll find that it can perhaps accommodate a maximum of half a dozen students. Food served isn't too great either.

Taj Mahal Hotel, Waah Taaj, Vishal Retail, McDonald's , KFC, Crossroads and numerous such eateries, malls and movie theatres offer a variety of options to hang around with friends. Himayat Nagar is just a 5-minute drive and that adds at least another 20-25 choices.

Since Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) is yet to create a reputation, average to below average scorers are found in majority. Even though it's in central Hyderabad, students from neighbouring districts are more compared to the city-dwellers. MCETians may not be great at academics but they're terrific sportsmen.

There's no mega college fest celebrated at Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET). Separate departments organize their own events and students have a gala-time.

Above 65-70% is expected but college authorities do not take strict action unless your attendance is below 40%. However, if you're defaulter it's not easy to get away as you'll have to go through several steps of annoyance from teachers and the Head of Department.
Methodist College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) is also particular about discipline. College gates are closed in the morning and MCETians are not permitted outside the campus up to 4:30pm.

Very true... but there is no discipline in the college I mean you can come at any time and can leave any time. No one will question you... and I suggest not to join this college.
