Students complain that the professors aren't able to teach them very well as most of them lack experience. "Lab assistants are especially bad" says a disappointed student. "Sometimes we feel that we know better" he continues. The few good ones are said to be deteriorating as well probably because even students aren't too keen on learning.

The campus is relatively smaller and feels congested. Labs and classrooms are well-kept but require more sophisticated equipments. There's no sign of any sporting facilities or Wi-Fi as promised. Wired Internet is available in only a few systems which are occupied by faculty.

In the first year of placements at Pujya Shri Madhavanji College of Engineering & Technology (PSMCET), only half a dozen of lucky chaps got jobs on campus. The remaining 300+ students had to either hunt for work on their own or go for higher studies. Students hope this trend doesn't continue and the scenario improvises soon.

Pujya Shri Madhavanji College of Engineering & Technology (PSMCET) is located in South-East Hyderabad's popular commercial and residential hub LB Nagar. Unlike many other engineering colleges in Hyderabad, it's not really beyond city limits and accessibility is a boon. RTC buses like 277, 277/102, 277N, 293 and 293S drop you right outside the college gate while dozens of other options crop up if you don't mind a short 10-15 minute walk. Nearly half the students here prefer travelling by RTC buses, while the remaining use their own bikes or share autos.

Frustrated with the faculty, half the students have lost hope of becoming ideal engineers and the remaining half was never interested. Many have resorted to utlilizing the freedom given in the wrong manner and get carried away on several occasions. There are fights over petty issues every week and although the consequences have never been serious it hampers the academic environment to some extent.

Students claim that some of their peers scraped through even after attending just one on ten lectures. An open-gate system has been permitted for students' convenience but students sometime misuse this freedom. "Moreover, internal marks are given on the basis of our relation with the faculty and not our attendance" alleges a final year student.
