The faculty for MBA is really good. A lot of experienced professors teach here. However, there are always a few ‘incompetent’ ones, and the students say that a few professors aren’t very good at their communication skills. But overall the situation is quite good. Guest lectures are conducted every Saturday.

The campus is huge, and the first thing that impresses you is its massive library. It shares its campus with a number of other colleges like engineering, pharmacy etc. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Playground for cricket, football and a tennis court is available. The students are completely satisfied with the facilities available. Swanky classrooms, projectors and AV setup are some of the highlights. In short the infra is 5 star.

The Sinhgad legacy comes into play for the placements. 80% of the students get placed with hefty salaries of Rs. 4 lakh a year. The highest goes to a whopping Rs. 6.5 lakh a year! SIBAR tries to get summer internships for the students but most of the students try to get it in their hometowns themselves. Again Marketing students are a winner, whereas HR students have to somewhat suffer.

Sinhgad Institute of Business Administration and Research (SIBAR) is located in a very remote area. It’s accessible by PMT buses but the frequency is really bad. Effectively, you are forced to travel by six seater tempos or your own vehicle. A good option, therefore, would be to stay in the college hostel itself

The crowd is refreshingly above average, and far better than general standards. Crowd is a healthy mix of few localites, and students from all parts of the country. Attendance is strict and 75% is mandatory. Students often hang out at the excellent canteen. Other hangouts are Vanavri, hill view, Fame Adlabs (Fatimanagar), but these aren’t really nearby.

It is a blend of studies and extra-curriculars, with studies being slightly stressed on more. Good choice for students with average scores in CET.

Seminars are interesting, say the students, but the industrial visits can be made better. “It’s like a picnic or an outing for us. There’s no learning and practical exposure that is promised” says one. Some of the companies where industrial visits are organised are JNPT, Thermax, Forbes Marshall and Weikfield.
