The teaching faculty at Symbiosis College is quite good. Most of the teachers are PhD’s and some have surpassed the crazy degrees of PhD’s. The faculty for Arts is pretty excellent and have amazing communication skills. Rest the teachers are above average and have thorough knowledge about their subject.

Symbiosis campus is extremely small unlike other Pune colleges but at the same time it is quite beautiful and scenic as it’s located on the hill. One of the cleanest campus, Symbiosis has got decent non air conditioned classrooms and good libraries along with an e-library. There is an excellent, well maintained and well equipped gymnasium whose monthly charges are roughly around Rs. 450/-. Inspite of an hi-fi infrastructure, there is no wifi in the campus. “Students regularly complain about the internet connection in the college, hope the association will look into the matter ASAP”, quoted one of the students.

Big names like Deloitte and Google recruit commerce students, obviously not huge in numbers. Other students get placed as well provided you fulfil their placement criteria. Compared to other commerce colleges in the cities, Symbiosis has good placements.

Symbiosis College is located on the famous Symbi Hills which is 2 minutes walking from the famous Indian Law College. Most of the students prefer to come by bikes or four wheelers while hardly any one uses the PMT buses, undoubtedly, their frequency is pretty bad. Symbiosis is quite famous in Pune and one can reach from any corner of the city to the college.

Ranging from chinese to dal rice, from thaali’s to bakery, everything in the food court is worth a try. Moreover, prices are pretty economical and it’s sufficiently spaced.

FC Road, the most hyped street of Pune, is 5 minutes walking from the college. From hundreds of restaurants and cafés to multiple road side stalls/tapris, you get every possible thing here. Students are usually seen at the very famous Vaishali and Rupali restaurant, followed by the expensive coffee chain in India, Mocha and Barista. There is a sandwich and roll waala at a stone’s throw away distance from the Fergusson College gate which is extremely famous among the student’s community. When you’re at FC, you need not worry on the past time.

Symbiosis is probably one of those colleges in Pune, where you hardly see any localities. Most of the students are from other cities of Maharashtra and India. The crowd is well balanced and gives equal importance to studies and extra curricular activities.

Symbiosis is pretty strict in terms of attendance matters. 75% is compulsory failing which students are made to write assignments, pay some fine for the shortage of attendance. In extreme cases, your loving parents are called to the college office.
