Students allege that many junior lecturers do not teach satisfactorily and yet think too high of themselves. Experiments in practicals are also not conducted in an interesting manner and most students have lost hope. "Senior professors are rarely given a subject to teach" reveals a third year student of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET).

The campus of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) has sufficient open spaces and greenery along with academic blocks that flaunt modern architecture. However, students complain of inappropriate maintenance stating examples of the library (which often lacks necessary books) and Internet (which is slow and is accessible from very few computers). Sports amenities, too, are not in place.

Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) manages 40-50 job offers in every batch (about 10% placements). Efforts of the college authorities are appreciable as 8-10 different companies come to recruit and if students request, they're willing to bring in more companies. "Many students are not able fulfill the criteria of the companies and that is the major reason for low campus placements" states a final year student.

Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) is a 10-15 minute walk from Bongaloor 'X' Roads Bus Stop on Nagarjuna Sagar Road near the Outer Ring Road, about 25 kilometres South of Hyderabad. More than half the students commute by RTC buses primarily because they cost a fraction of what College Buses charge.

BN Reddy Nagar is the closest civilization from Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) where you'll find some interesting places to hangout. Or if that's not an option, all you have is some dhabas along the highway.

More than quarter of the seats go vacant; so you're already running short of people to interact with. And to add to it, majority of those who land up here are from surrounding rural or semi-urban areas having conservative backgrounds and not open to communication. Oh and don't be surprised to find that some of your buddies are one of the lowest rankers in the state. Good luck!

Fortunately, some entertaining festivals are celebrated at Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) every year. Dominated by technical events on the first two days, fests have some dance and music performances on the last day.

Senior students told Stupidsid that Visvesvaraya College of Engineering & Technology (VCET) is extremely strict for the first year students. It becomes more relaxed for higher years but some rules like 'roaming in the campus' or ' going out of the campus' do not change.
