Admission process for Vellore Institute of Technology (both Vellore & Chennai campuses) is pretty simple and straightforward. It is explained below as per timeline:

MARCH - Apply online (Rs 940) or offline (Rs 990) for VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE). You can make online payment via Net banking/ credit card /debit card, if you fill the online form. However there is also an option to pay via sending a Demand draft to the university. Even if you make online payment, you will need to send printout of application form and acknowledgement receipt via speed post to the university.

MARCH - You will need to book slots for Computer Based Test (CBT).

APRIL - Take VITEEE.

MAY - Results of VITEEE. Appear for counseling as per your VITEEE rank.
Counseling shall be simultaneously carried in Vellore and Chennai campuses. You can choose to appear in any one of them. It will be co-ordinated live via video conferencing.
