Preparation:

I started studying about three months before the exam season began, and used to religiously put in 4 hours a day. The time I devoted to studying increased as the exams came closer, although by then my concentration was mainly on taking mock tests and improving my performance in them.

Material:

I kept it very very simple. I used preparation material from Career Launcher, which was quite good. There is also a lot of freely available content online, which really helps. But the most important thing is definitely the mock exams, which help you test and assess yourself, and also give you confidence to tackle the real thing.

Advice to juniors:

Leverage strengths to make up for what you may lose out in your weak areas. It is important to play to your strengths, while obviously also working on your weaknesses, so that you don't lose out because of them. Work extremely hard on your strengths, because that is what will help you get a call, but also use your spare time to tackle things you are relatively weaker in. Focus on MOCKs, work on them, and improvise on them, from exam to exam, that's the best way out. Do not get bogged down by bad scores, just keep focusing and remember, time is the key!

Experience in MBA Institute:

I chose MICA because I wanted to pursue a career in Marketing and Communications, so naturally this was the most preferred option. I was also looking for a B-school that offers that little bit extra, and MICA certainly does. The faculty (both permanent and visiting) is excellent, the experience from work that they bring into teaching is unparalleled and makes learning a real joy. The campus is awesome, with well-equipped hostels and fantastic facilities. The crowd is amazing too; an excellent blend of people from various cultural, educational and professional backgrounds, which enhances the learning experience. The average age is roughly 24 years.
