Preparation:

I had started preparing some 8 months before the exam. I had mathematics in graduation so was more focused on other subjects. And it is not about hours; it is about quality of learning. Learning that you can apply and apply quickly. Time management is really very important. Everyone should read some good books on time management and apply the learning. These books really help. I had some 6 hours/day. I read or worked only on one subject a day. It helped me assessing myself after each day how much progress has been done and how much is to be done. I had enough time so worked this way but I recommend others should have their own time-tables. But they should have or they will always feel dissatisfied with the efforts they are putting in.

Material:
The most important thing that I want to emphasize is keep only as much material around you as is required. Too much of anything is bad.I had taken MOCK CATs. I had the books of all the subjects. I did not hoard too much stuff. I worked rigorously on the books that I had and in the preceding 2 months just solved the question papers of previous years. Internet has plethora of material but try to avoid because in my opinion the quality books provide is still unmatched. Yes you can use internet for taking tests and for GK improvement.

Advice to juniors:

Read good books. Motivational books. And read regularly. I am confident you will know "yourself" by doing so. It is really very funny that most of us dont know ourselves. Knowing ourselves is the best strategy both for utilizing strengths and for taking care of weaknesses.
I recommend for the future leaders of India to start taking themselves as leaders. And start doing what leaders do. Perception really makes a difference. Make your own plan of studies but it should be compatible with the requirements.Make notes and refer to them frequently even if you know them very well.Periodic own assessment is must. And most of all believe in yourself.
MBA education does not start after getting a good or bad B-School. It starts the very moment you start preparing for the entrance examination.

Experience in MBA Institute:

Hostels- Though we do not have exclusive FMS-Hostel but Plenty of options are available. University of Delhi has more hostels than any other university in India. Seats are reserved for FMSites in these hostels. Also when the new campus starts functioning there will be exclusive FMS-hostel.

Campus- The campus is not a very big one. The Infra is limited but in coming years a new state of the art campus will be ready. Whatever is there is sufficient for conducting seminars, guest lectures and all other activities. Also do remember it was built long ago when the strength of the batch was not that what is now. And it is a government institute so things take some time in materializing.
