Job Description:

My job profile comprises majorly of testing and writing codes in JAVA, specifically related to J2EE. It involves studying different frameworks and their practical applications(This part is quite interesting). Also, quite a lot of my time goes in maintenance of the already finished projects (This part gets monotonous after a point). Still, I have been luckier than my friends who have got Database profiles in which they have to work on databases using PLSQL. There are some mainframe projects also in TCS and you may land up there if you are extremely unlucky.

Experience at Work:

One big plus point about my work is that my office is nearby and the working hours are manageable. Job satisfaction is there if you get what you wanted to work on. Your luck plays a big part because all will depend on the project in which you are placed.

Advice to the juniors:

TCS has excellent opportunities for those really interested in their kind of work and who don't mind slogging it out for a couple of years.
