Interview Experience at IGTC during Admission process:

After clearing the Stage I of the IGTC Admission Process our profiles were sent to the partnering German Companies for the Personal Interview. I got the opportunity to appear for the interviews with 10 companies. On the day of the interviews we could actually feel and experience the organised and systematic management of the IGTC staff and co-ordinators. The opportunity of being interviewed by the stalwarts of the industry one after the other was a life time experience. All the 10 interviews were uniquely different and it took one whole day for me to complete the interviews. Later when I got to know the results of the interviewprocess it developed a very good self confidence in me. I truly believe that the day of the interview process at IGTC has enriched me and has helped me develop a perspective towards what the industry expects from you as an individual. Thank you IGTC.

Current Job Description:

I am working as a project trainee in Technical processes and services optimization department of Mercedes Benz India Pvt. Ltd. I got an opportunity to work on 3 assignments in addition to my main project. The job profile deals with setting up new processes and optimizing the existing ones by critical evaluation of them. The scope of my department extends from processes related to inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, production, maintenance, organizational database administration, quality control and testing, human resources related to technical functionality etc. My primary project is that of setting up a new work flow process with the installation of a new Automatic Storage and Retrieval system for the painted body float and co-ordinating with the IT team for the interface of the programmable logic controller of ASRS with SAP. Apart from this I have taken up small assignments such as testing and training and documentation of a process related to Stock Transfer Order transactions, preparation of open house training modules, etc.

Experience at the Training Company:

Getting to work in a world renowned company like Mercedes Benz has been a life time opportunity for me. Being associated with the technical (production) department I was made to undergo through a systematically designed induction program for 6 days. This program gave me a complete overview of the process involved in the production of these luxury cars. Being an auto fanatic I tried to make the most out of the given opportunity. My project requires me to co-ordinate with cross functional authorities and hence it feels like every day I get to learn something new. The best learning for me has been the German way of management and administration. The values of the organisation are truly reflected in the culture of this organisation. The journey with the ‘star’ has begun with my first phase of internship and has been truly enriching so far.

Advice to the juniors:

To start with understand the values and concept on which the IGTC education model has been architecture on. To me IGTC is one of the best ways of getting an opportunity to work in the best and world renowned German organisations. If you get the admission to the PGPBA programme you get an opportunity to learn from the best faculty in the country. The course is rigour as you have 12 months to complete your academic schedules as against to 18-24 months in other B schools. You can be rest assured that the course structure and the faculty members are so good that you will never feel like missing your classes ever. If learning is your goal then IGTC is undoubtedly one of the best grounds in the country.
