Anna university faculty is undoubtedly brilliant. The professors are well qualified and well experienced. The students themselves need to be enthusiast is order to make the most of the faculty's knowledge. They know their subjects very well but then many times it is difficult for the students to get to the professor's level.

The campus is huge. ACT, CEG and Madras University all the campuses are inter-connected. The campus is beautiful and well maintained. There are many lawns and a lot of open spaces in the campus. You will find students in all the parts of the campus. The huge ground on the campus complements its beauty. Labs are well equipped and classrooms are spacious. There are many places on the campus where you find students working on assignments and projects.
Students have access to the Anna University library which is housed in a separate campus nearby. Huge would be an understatement. It is multistorey air-conditioned building with volumes of books on various topics. All these books can be easily searched and located via their efficient library management system.

ACT has good number of companies coming. Core as well as IT companies come here for recruiting. However most of the students prefer IT companies over core. Also, many of the core companies don’t prefer taking girls. Around a fourth of the class goes for higher studies, while the rest take up jobs.

ACT is located in Guindy campus of Anna University. Anna university is well located when commuting is considered. There are many buses connecting Guindy to many other parts of the city. The campus has many other education governing bodies as its neighbours. Nearest railway station is Guindy but not many use local trains.

The crowd here comes from various parts of Tamil Nadu. Many NRIs are there due to the 30% quota in effect. There are more hostel dwellers than day scholars. There aren’t many north Indians. The campus is alive at most times of the day. The boy-girl ratio isn’t very bad, Mechanical and Civil have few girls whereas IT and CSE see more girls.

ACT is much liberal compared to the other Anna University affiliated colleges. Attendance is taken seriously here too. The students need to maintain 75%. It isn’t very strict when it comes to formals but round neck t-shirts are not allowed.
