Faculty is good here. Students don’t have any complaints about them. There is a mixture of experienced and non-experienced faculty. The faculty here converses in English most of the times, for the remainder they shift to Tamil or Hindi.

The campus is huge like most of the colleges in Chennai. The classes are good and spacious. Students are content with the labs they have and claim that all the equipment are available. The library is decent and houses a many academic and other books.

Around 50% of the students are placed. Most of them get placed in IT companies. Few core companies come but not many get selected. There are many IT companies coming with the likes of L&T, Wipro, Godrej and Infosys.

KCG is located in Karapakkam area off the OMR. It is near Chennai and much easier accessible than most of the other college in OMR. The road from OMR to the college is very bad but then it isn’t even a kilometer and this stretch does have a pond on one side; so not that bad actually. There are buses from most of the areas of Chennai coming here.

The canteen is good; decent food is available at cheap rates. Biryani and Parottha here are quite famous among the students. You get a variety of snacks here.

You do see a good number of North Indians here due to nearby Army establishment. There are many Mallu students too in KCG. The students do get along but then you still see the language playing a barrier.

There are many symposiums cum fest happening in the college. 'Reverberation' is one of the famous fest conducted. The festivals are not that good really and don’t pull a whole lot of crowd either. Majority of the crowd hails from KC Tech campus and rest few are from nearby colleges managed by the same trust.

KCG college of Technology is not as strict as most other engineering colleges in Chennai. Although formals are compulsory here but you can mix it with some casual shirts. 75% attendance is compulsory but not very strict above that. If you have attendance less than 60% then you are debarred. Also attendance is directly proportional to marks; if you have attendance less than 75% then you aren’t given any marks for it.

KCG College of Technology (KC Tech) is among the second tier colleges. Not a very good college but if you are looking for some leniency then this can be considered. Also being not too far from the city can be an advantage.
