Students don’t hold the faculties in high regard. They complain that they can’t fathom even a bit of what the teachers teach. The qualification of teachers is also a concern as they are only graduates and no PhDs in most of the departments. Most of the teachers are inexperienced and that’s a huge disappointment for students.

Campus of Arignar Anna Institute of Science & Technology is expansive. It is spread over an area of 60 acres but looks even larger due to ample barren land within the campus. The building is quite huge, with spacious classrooms. The labs are decent and while most equipment work fine, some of them have been lying there since eternity with no intentions being repaired. The college has huge grounds for sports including the cricket ground, volleyball court, football ground and a basketball court. There are a book store and an ATM also in the campus.

There are hardly any companies coming for recruitment. You can consider it to not be there, in case you do get a job, consider yourself the chosen one.

Arignar Anna Institute of Science & Technology is located 2 km off the NH4 near Sriperumbudur. The environment around the college is beautiful, with sprawling open land covered with nature's green blanket. Also there are factories/offices of Hyundai, Dell and MRF nearby. However accessibility can be a bit of a problem while using public transport due to the remote location. The college has many buses ferrying students to various parts of Chennai. There isn’t much of an option if you choose to travel by MTC buses; you’ll have to wait forever for a bus to come. There are two ways to reach college – main road and the back road. If you go by the main road then fine, but god forbid if you do happen to take the Kaccha road then whether you’ll reach the college or not will be depend on your driving skills & fate, especially during monsoons.

There is a very small canteen, which is as good as not there. Students, who go there, do so purely due to lack of any option.

Majority of the students coming to Arignar Anna Institute of Science & Technology are from South India of whom the majority are from Chennai itself. Most of the students here are not studious or sincere; however a few of them try to be. The students are not much interested in extra-curricular activities also.

When the Stupidsid team asked a group of students about the festivals, the students seemed to be clueless. So we are assuming that no such events happen here and even if it is happening you can imagine how it must be.

Attendance is not an issue if you maintain it above 70%. The college isn’t very strict if you do not cross the line. Students are expected to wear formals and the college is quite strict about it. The funny part is that this rule is only for Tamil Nadu students, others can afford to wear semi formals.

Taking admission at Arignar Anna Institute of Science & Technology will clearly show how desperate are you to become an engineer in spite of getting low marks.
